  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

One man and his trusty shovel… Every time I feel like I don’t need to invest in a snow blower, Mother Nature reminds me to reconsider… ❄️😮‍💨 I recall a teaser image of a plow on a Scout… think I might splurge for that option…

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

Spent a month in Altadena for wildfire hazardous materials recovery, earlier this year. The scenery and landscape is absolutely beautiful. Even through the destruction you could tell how beautiful it once was and will be again.

Moving south is part of my longer term goal! 😂 I’m originally from VA with mild winters but had to move to PA for work several years ago. Living somewhere in SC would be nice eventually.

The dish towel protected the charge port and hinge but I still had to scrape the ice buildup off the door surround and body to get the charge door to shut properly, this morning. Really can’t wait for the cover to arrive so the whole area can be protected! Ideally this issue is something OEMs...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Most of their active stations are either Rechargery @ (name brand store) or relays which sit adjacent or on the same property as an active convenience store. They have very few Ionna rechargeries open... Getting their own locations off the ground has been much more difficult than they anticipated.

On the concept it does flip up. However the concept door is very small and the port and household outlets next to it are likely to be designed differently on the consumer model. I believe scout is just showing us the features they’re planning to have on the vehicle. I anticipate the charge port...

    Service Center

Young minds are so easily impressionable and their immediate surroundings/environment (family, friends, authority figures) can have long lasting detrimental impacts on their future. Growing up in a rural area skewed my thinking well into my early 20s. Changes to my way of thinking didn’t start...

Still awaiting the charge port cover I ordered. It’s taken a little longer than expected to clear customs an make it’s way to my door. In the meantime time we’ve improvised with an older dish towel draped across the charge door and cord. Held in place with a simple chip clip that we keep on the...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

No Fair! Why should Region 4 have all the fun! :ROFLMAO: Please bring it out to the western PA area sometime! Better yet roll it out at the start of a WVU football game with Brad Paisley in the bed of the Terra singing the national anthem?!...

In the 701 miles we’ve had the equinox it’s averaged 2.9 mi/kWh. This is in below normal temps with highs barely creeping above freezing and lows in the teens. I’m interested to see how it does as we get deeper into winter. If it holds above 2.5 mi/kWh through winter, I feel we may see above 3.5...

    What age group are you?

Some of the younger folks likely accompanied their parents to classic car shows and got the chance to see the cars their parents once longed for. Pontiac comes to mind for me. I can remember growing up in the midst of the restoration of a pre 70s GTO. Lots of good memories at car shows and...

I had two queen yellow jackets attempt to hibernate just inside my shed doors… second year in a row… they got the spray right away. Just the price I pay for living in the sticks.

The way the forum notification came through to my email made me chuckle… no context just your words… 😂 I figured it was about charging installations. I like the enclosure but I just know wasps would find it very homey, where I’m at…

    E-brake

pretty sure that most auto manufacturers, over the past 5 years have switched over to electronically actuated parking brakes. Heck even 1-1.5 ton trucks are equipped with them now. There are different style EBPs though and the heavy duty vehicles may still use a drum style parking brake, it's...

    OEM Camper Shell

I'll go a bit further down this road of an OEM camper shell. What if there were an option to incorporate some form of HVAC into the shell and also create a weather tight seal around the drop down rear glass? I have a reservation for a Traveler but if there were an option where I could have an...
