  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

The Rivian I have experience with has a split down the middle console and each side opens up and out toward each of the front seats. It’s kind of awkward in most situations. Makes it hard to see and reach down in there. I would prefer nearly any other way of opening.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Haha, I know what you mean! No, definitely the instant bricks. Not the ramen shops. :ROFLMAO:

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Yep. This right here. That’s what I’m talking about. I’ll make sacrifices and eat ramen for however long is needed to save up for a more exciting vehicle!

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Yeah there could be some truth to that. I do hate attention though. Don’t pay attention to me. Don’t put me in the spotlight in any way. I hate it. I may or may not have been deemed a “hermit” or “anti-social” on many occasions. My vehicle though? If you like it, feel free to chat me up...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

YES. Luckily I’m very stubborn and have owned at least one vehicle with etched windows that I did not pay for.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I’m definitely susceptible to the emotional part of a vehicle purchase/ownership. Vanity isn’t my kind of thing. Getting attached to vehicles though? Absolutely. Yes, that’s me. Especially if it’s a vehicle that gives me the freedom to do the things I love and spend time with those I love...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Oh man…this one got me bad. :ROFLMAO: Thank you. Thank you for that. I guess that one hit pretty close to home based on my dealership experiences. Well done.

Alright, I’m still not getting any confirmation that the window switches all have single press/pull auto-down and auto-up function. I’m all for cost savings, but how much could that add? Maybe I’m naive, but I see no reason it shouldn’t be present in a vehicle of this caliber. In my pea brain...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I must be out of the loop because I’ve never seen so much talk about removing a rear mounted spare tire before. Maybe I’ve missed it, but I haven’t come across people talking about it over the years on Wranglers, G Wagens, Broncos, Defenders, RAV4s, etc., etc., or even back when I had my FJ...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

For sure, she is and the proportions are spot on. The height doesn’t concern me as much as the width. Really I know I’ll love the interior room that both will provide since I’m coming from a smaller vehicle, but out on the trails I just hope I can avoid scratching her up too bad. I’ll have to...
