  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Consumer Freedom and Scout Motors in South Carolina

Hi Cody! We got your email. And I certainly reached out to my local Richland County Delegation. Despite the fact that Scout has adamantly seemed closed to the idea of inviting anyone from Richland County (outside of Blythewood) in. Non-profits have been ignored, community members have been...

It all sounds great! I’m interested to see where the price range tops out at. I’m guessing $90k.

How will service be offered for Scout Vehicles?

It would be cool if they created Established a network of mobile mechanics. Not sure how cost effective it would be.

Will Scout ever build a competitor of the Wrangler and Bronco?

The Traveler is a direct competitor, the more I think about it. Same as the 4Runner.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

Honestly with it being a generator, it doesn’t need to be a big engine, as its only function will be to charge the battery pack and potentially serve as a home generator. Those are typically compact!

Direct Sales - Dealership can stay mad!

A huge reason why cars aren’t affordable. People are upside down and don’t see a way out.

Direct Sales - Dealership can stay mad!

I’m so glad Scout has decided to go this direction. Literally removing an unnecessary, stressful and expensive problem out of the way. And the dealerships…they can build a bridge and get over it. Especially VW…who for some reason felt that they are entitled to sell Scout products...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

This is a must!! There is a lot riding on Scout being successful. Reliability will be key. Make a great name for yourself out the gate, and you’ll climb to the top quickly!

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Honestly an on board 360 “dash cam” should be standard in most modern cars.

    Sliding Glass Pano Roof?

I really hope they reconsider. While most people who buy appliances never use theirs, this will definitely be a lifestyle ve. That’s disappointing.

    Dealerhships

I know the dealership discussion has happened once about 2 years ago. But now that the early production model is out. It’s definitely something to consider as a consumer. Tesla has tried to forgo it, but I’m not sure there model is meeting customer satisfaction with regards to servicing. It’s...
