  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

This is definitely something I need to figure out in the next 2 - 3 years. My house is 100+ years old, so it'll be no small undertaking to modernize in general. Not that it's a fixer-upper project, just that you can tell things have been updated in spurts over the years as opposed to a deep...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I have ZERO knowledge of car manufacturing, but I guess I always assumed there'd be 2 lines - one Traveler & one Terra - that would switch out production of BEV & EREV per model based on reservation demand. Based on the 85% number in the screenshot, the poll thread might actually be a...

    Key Fob question

I've had keys for so long, it feels strange when I don't have them in my pocket. Even when I'm on vacation & my car is sitting in an airport parking lot, I still walk around with my keys in my pocket.

Announced a new brand, new cars in 2024 - "why can't we buy them now" a year & a half later!?

Mark Rober has some pretty fun YouTube videos - his breakout video was a glitter bomb for porch pirates: He also has one where he built an American Ninja Warrior course for squirrels. lol I don't follow or subscribe to keep tabs, but he seems pretty normal as far as YouTube personalities go...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

Reading back through that thread seems like there's at least thoughts about making that even more functional - like possible cooling options, which would be even better than standard cooler.

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

I also wonder if the Backpack would/could be a cooler? Or if Scout partners with another company who can create a cooler based on the specs. An official Yeti or Stanley Scout Backpack Cooler. So many decisions to make when the time finally arrives! Hahaha

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

The ability to fold the back seats down to expand the truck bed. I'm not a truck guy so it's nothing I've ever looked into & my wife's Tacoma doesn't do that, but it's definitely smart.

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

I see what you mean about the plastic back - I have to imagine they'll have something designed for carrier-less gates. Maybe the tail lights will bleed into the back & you can have a smaller black area that mimics the carrier so you're not having 2 completely different back ends? I don't know...

Yeah - really looking forward to getting an IRL look & feel.

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

Before posting I was trying to find a pic of the back - on the Traveler page (the "Bring your world with you." section) it opens & closes so fast I couldn't get a good look. Though I did see, that I hadn't noticed before, the back splits when open so there's like a mini tailgate which I think...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

With the introduction of the Backpack a few weeks (months?) back, has anyone else started thinking about how they'll want to manage the back-end? I'm not planning on off-roading - I was drawn to the Traveler's aesthetics - but I feel like it might look incomplete without something back there...

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

That Silverado feature is pretty dope. I have a Traveler reservation, but it would be cool to be able to fold the back seats down like that to expand the cargo space if necessary.

I absolutely love that matte blue on the Terra in the promo pics - really want to see a matte copper/Tahitian Red on a Traveler.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Yeah, I'm sure I've seen it, I just don't remember noticing - if that makes sense. And it seems like a pretty minor thing that can have a big positive impact on a wider vehicle. Just over the summer I was walking my dog & heard a car take the mirror off an SUV that was parked on the street. I...
