  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I don’t have to imagine. I’ve heard it all with my CA plates and taking forever to fill up. Zoners have no love for anyone outside of zoniland

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I fill up in AZ where I save about $1.50-$2 per gallon. Last time I filled the tanks was just over $400 We actually hold right about 133 gallons total. 55 main, 40 aux, 7x 20L Jerry cans. Costco loves and hates me at the same time. Takes 3 swipes of my card to get all the fuel I need for the...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I opted for battery only traveler as while it’s fun to go off road, that what my diesel truck is for. I see the traveler as a highly optioned SUV for general use. Not an overlander. If I need to tow my trailer, diesel truck. If I want to go hunting and camping with the boys, diesel truck. If...

Former Rivian R1S owner, almost twice. Can’t wait for the Scout

Comparing Rivian to Patagonia is a falsehood. More like Rivian to Ozark Trail…

    0-60 times with harvester

1000HP in any vehicle is unnecessary. I had the Tri-Max R1S. At full launch it was nearly uncontrollable with massive torque steer in the front. I can’t imagine how much worse the new quad is, and since we didn’t take delivery, I’ll never know nor care to find out. Our eTron is not a HP beast...

    Single Touch Window Controls

Rivian R1S was one touch up and down for all windows. My 2017 truck only does the fronts, my 2021 eTron and old 2025 R1S do all. Our new 26 BMW IX does all as well.

    Single Touch Window Controls

Rivian, BMW, and Audi all roll down and up if you hold the unlock or lock button long enough.

    The Tax Man Cometh?

What about your registration and license tax. How much is that per year? If you don’t think the federal government can access your vehicles digital mileage and GPS information on new model vehicles and EVs, you’ve not been paying attention.

    The Tax Man Cometh?

You’re right. But CA is a one party state and they are doing everything to keep it that way. Can’t blame a party that has no voice here.

    The Tax Man Cometh?

California proposed this before the current administration, and CA is far from Trump country. Also, CA has stringent emissions testing and some people in CA still roll coal. This isn’t about left or right, it’s about the oil industry as mentioned before, and the governments reliance on tax...

    Vintage Scouts In The Wild!

I see this scout in OB all the time, sometimes in Point Loma. It’s definitely a looker and some lucky sob knows it.

The price ta I’m seriously hoping the Audi eTron S6 avant hits our shores. If you haven’t seen one, the design is stunning to say the least.

Former Rivian R1S owner, almost twice. Can’t wait for the Scout

The pic is of a M5 Touring. While I would have gladly adopted said wagon, my wife is the voice of reason in the family so another family will have to step up. We leased the IX x60 MSport. HP is in the mid 500 range, with a max distance at 327 miles. My wife still has yet to let me drive it… lol

Former Rivian R1S owner, almost twice. Can’t wait for the Scout

There is a M Sport add on for the 60 package. The picture is of the M5 Touring Hybrid wagon, which I’m a sucker for fast wagons. I previously owned an E63 AMG wagon and sold when I got near 100k miles. I never hated driving to work and we got thumbs up on a regular basis on the freeway...

Former Rivian R1S owner, almost twice. Can’t wait for the Scout

This weekend resulted in a new 2026 BMW IX xdrive60 MSport. My wife is beyond thrilled and our lease is $500 less than our R1S with the same amount down. Un-amazingly, the vehicle was delivered in perfect condition by a team of people who cared about us as individuals. This is precisely what...

Former Rivian R1S owner, almost twice. Can’t wait for the Scout

Amazing. I’m here less than a day and already had to block someone. It’s amazing because the tone and language remind me of a user on the Rivian forum who is demeaning, dismissive, and disrespectful of owners who vocalize their negative experiences with Rivian. Gaslighting individuals stating...

    Rivian CEO Interview

Actually, I tried to buy it a second time. I learned my lesson and moved on with my life. The universe was speaking to me… “don’t own a Rivian” it said. I didn’t listen the first time, I took the hint the second time and walked away.
