  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Tire carrier size

I am starting this by saying this is not a debate about whether the tire carrier should be on the back or not or be removable or not. Let’s just assume the tire carrier is on the back like the prototype. Now the prototype has 35s. Will the tire carrier size be specific to the size of the...

Scout Encyclopedia- Facts, facts and more facts.

I just got my Scout Encyclopedia yesterday! Starting a thread where interesting facts can be posted. The first fact is this is a very big book and not just pictures. It’s 384 pages long! So excited to read it as my family did not have a Scout when I was growing up and all this talk of the...

Accessories: not merch or accessories that are integrated into the car, but think seat covers, etc. What do we want?

We have a thread going for items we would like in the Scout Supply store and we have a poll and threads for things like winches, etc. but what about things that fall in between. Like seat covers, sunglass holders that mount somewhere, pet seat belts, etc. What does everybody want? I would...

Accent colors: roofs, mirror caps, tow hooks, etc, etc.

I thought I would create a place to discuss color options for various parts of the vehicle. There’s so many ways these can be painted. Two tone with a different color roof. Mirror caps could be body color, black, carbon fiber, etc. Bumpers and recovery hooks could be all the same color...

Just for fun…Have you named your Scout already?

Just for fun this Friday just wanted to get an idea if people name their cars and if so have you already named your Scout? We name our cars in this family. It really started with the Jeep and we have a theme going. 2013 Jeep Wrangler - Rain 2022 Toyota Supra - Thunder 2023 Hyundai Elantra...

    Rallye Stripes stickers?

Hi all. Do we have any idea if the Rallye Stripes are going to be a sticker or decal of some sort? Is it too much to hope that they are painted on?

    Anyone else getting old notifications?

Anyone else getting old email notifications? I just got a bunch. I’m thinking it has something to do with the server migration.

Badge showing what members have reserved

Now that I am on the forum on a regular basis it would be great to know that I am interacting with other reservation holders and what they have reserved. It would be great if we could have a badge on our profile that showed reservation holder and what we reserved.

Who else do we want to do a hands on review?

It was so fun seeing the Scout yesterday on Jay Leno’s Garage. I am ready for more already! It got me thinking who else would be fun to watch. I love the Throttle House guys. Also if Jason Cammisa could do one of his brand retrospective videos on the history of the Scout and then have the...

    Scout Mountain

The Chicago Auto Show just started and we have gone to many. We have stood in line for Jeep Mountain to be taken around their obstacles in the new Jeeps. Bronco has something similar and their obstacle course even has a teeter totter, is the only way I can think to describe it, that the...

Actual dimensions based on what we configure

I am looking way ahead, but when we are able to configure our Scout it would be really nice if it included the dimensions based on how we configure it. I love the roof rack and the 35” tires on the Traveler but want to make sure it can fit in my garage.

Owners manual in advance of delivery

I know I am jumping the gun here, but it would be very nice to be able to download a PDF copy of the owners manual prior to taking delivery. In my case, having driven a 2013 Wrangler for 12 years that doesn't have any of the new bells and whistles it would be very helpful. I am an EV novice...
