  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Rivian Rs2 vs Scout Traveler

    Scout Color Poll #1

White is a popular color here in Texas because its hotter than the Devils taint on a flaming saddle in July and August. You can literally burn your hand by touching a dark car for a few seconds. This is not an anecdotal musing though. White vehicle have around 26% of the market share here...

Body Damage - Easy or Hard and Expensive

You’ve made some great points. Rivian was a ground up company. They have learned some hard lessons with engineering and manufacturing. VW has been around for 87 years and knows a thing or two about mass production and repairability. I am sure they will do a better job at making them...

Yo fam @chucchinchilla got that fyre meme drip and needs to save some rizz for the rest of us. I swear listening to my kids talk when they play video games feels like I am watching this movie again. None of it makes sense.

Smart move IMO. I was very liberal with that stuff as a mechanic and still am on all my personal stuff too. Could not recommend enough.

You can toss a lit cigarette into a bucket of gasoline and it will go out, but the vapors that are stirred up when you refuel are whats dangerous. It doesnt even have to be something you do wrong. An idiot in the stall next to you can light a cigarette in their car and give everyone a bad day.

    New Battery By 24M Technologies

I get it, and that is a very responsible approach. But I have had some questionable quality steel skidplates in the past. I would normally check them after a wheeling session to make sure bolts didnt back out (or get sheared off) and never had one fly off. I dont know why my brain is going...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Welcome to the party. Great suggestions! We do know there will be an offroad mode, but Scout is giving us physical buttons for some offroad features. The concepts have a really neat overhead console that has physical switches for Front Locker, Rear Locker, Disable Traction Control, and Sway...

    New Battery By 24M Technologies

It would probably be fine if its segmented or a maleable material. I am not sure how much rigidity Fords battery pack adds to the frame, but when traditional ICE pickups articulate their suspension the frames are designed to twist a little bit. So a solid cover front to back may get loose if you...

Most Iconic Location(s) for Scout Ads

I think you're getting it now. The BYD Shark is one of the closest comparisons available at this time, and no American companies have anything on the market closer. At least for lower speed offroading. On highway testing the Shark would have an edge with its direct drive system that engages...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I have had both. My Land Cruiser 100 Series had a custom rear bumper with a ladder on one of the swingout arms. It was a split tailgate like the Traveler. You can get roof rack mounted ladders for the side as well. Some have suction cups that rest on the body or window for lower points of...

I have been doing some reading and apparently they arent as bad as towing a trailer but its still noticeable. And the price is.. yeah I can see how it would be prohibitive. My wife isnt outdoorsy so I am trying to find a good compromise that makes it easier for her to say "YES!" to trips. The...
