  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

My keys are on a carabiner hooked to my belt loop. I am paranoid about locking them in the car so I always do a pat down to make sure where they're at before I shut the doors. My tailgate has a button to open/close it on the dashboard so I always use it to close the tailgate once I'm in the car...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

When my kids were really little, I put the groceries in first. They were in the cart so I could keep an eye on them. Once they were walking on their own I would let them get inside and then put the groceries in and then go back and do the buckling up.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

One time when I was running on my lunch break at work, one of the guys who was going out for lunch passed me going the opposite direction (so he was behind me). He honked "just to say hi!" - I flipped him off before I saw who it was. Scared the snot out of me. It is pretty terrifying when the...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

The fewer cracks and crevices for things (Lego bricks, Cheerios, half-eaten chicken nuggets) to fall into, the better. Kids will find a way if there’s an opening

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Most of the ones I’ve seen online have been late ‘90s to early 2000s. All of them need to be imported from Japan. Didn’t get a chance to look around much yet though.

Speaking of Subaru - I saw this at work and I think it’s adorable. If my Flex doesn’t make it to 2027, this might be something I look at.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

One thing that I find nice to have is space for my ponytail/bun to be on the back of my head but still be able to lean my head back. With my Flex, the headrest comes forward too much and too straight and hits right where the ponytail is unless I have it flat down on the back of my neck. Volvo...

    Favorite Trader Joe’s product

If you ever get to go to Japan, go to a Tokyu Hands store. There are smaller versions and huge multi-floor department store versions. I got a bunch of pens from the smaller one close to my hotel, but I also went to one of the bigger ones and bought 3 fountain pens and 5 bottles of Iroshizuku...

    Favorite Trader Joe’s product

Oh I love Daiso! There’s not one anywhere near me but when I was in Japan it was so much fun to poke around and see what was there. I brought back so much little cute stuff. I hope I get to go back one day!

    Quebec Scoutists

My son just got home from Montreal and I think he is ready to go back already. He loved it! The public transportation was wonderful and he really enjoyed how easy it was to get to Mount Royal from where his friend lives. Welcome to the forum!

I know they aren't as likely to go boom as it feels but my lab has burned down twice (no cause determined) and had someone attempt to blow it up once - I don't like being around that much hydrogen anymore :ROFLMAO:

    Walkabout Mode (Safety Feature)

It won’t be great when there’s no signal, but Road iD has an app that sends eCrumbs to people you designate so they can track you on your run and it has an SOS button. But it also has a stationary warning so that if you’ve been still for too long and don’t respond to the countdown it sends an...

    Stickers! And other decor...

I'm going to try and be more relaxed with the Scout. Have fun with it as much as I can. The Rallye stripes I think I can do - I didn't put them there so it's not my fault!
