  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Harvester towing

Let me clarify my use of the word "drama" because there is nothing wrong with anyone wanting 15,000 LBS of towing. What is wrong is when people just state the Scout will fail because of X, Y or Z. Again, we don't even have production specs yet. Do we think the pure BEV Terra will tow similar to...

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

Interesting. Would that be some form of a "hybrid air suspension system" that you could adjust manually by adding air from the onboard air compressor yourself? You could (theoretically) run your Scout like a giant MTB with rock shox (changing dampness, increasing air based on cargo, manually...

    Harvester towing

A lot of drama. Not everything is for everyone, but we don't even have a final production spec at this early stage. Not sure why people get bent out of shape - particularly b/c unless you OWN the company, nobody will ever be building the precise truck (just for you). The goal is for companies to...

How would you build your Scout?

My Pirelli Scorpion A/T's on the 20's are remarkably quiet, but also purpose-built EV AT truck tires. I know, bc I swap them for Nokian Hakka's in the winter, and there is virtually no difference in road noise when I swap-in the Hakka's. I am on my first set of Hakka's and second set of...

How would you build your Scout?

A LOT. Wild variations between tires and wheels, their inherent aerodynamics and combined weights... Another factor is height of the vehicle itself from the ground with an off-road set-up. All speculation for the Scout until we have prod specs for everything. Scraped from an out of Spec range...

    Driver Legroom

Rivian does the same, identifies the driver by fob, phone or tap, then adjust the seat and steering column accordingly. The only issue is really the room BEHIND the driver if you are tall and need the extra legroom (in the R1T). Obviously taking the space in the front will reduce the space in...

    Pet Mode questions

I have never had Pet Mode fail... I don't expect that it will, but for an edge case like that, certainly the SW could be programmed to either A.) Notify you in the app (rivian can already do that for other events that are triggered, so should be easy to implement) or B). Or yes, crack the...

    Door Handles!

This might just be me showing some bias coming from a R1T, but I wanted to throw out an idea related to the door handles, drag & design. I'm wondering if Scout has an opportunity to create the best of both worlds for their door handles, and engineer the manual handle in such a way that it is...

    Frunk Fridge

Yes, I don't use the frunk for transporting coolers. I have coolers that I run out of the bed, since I have the R1T (not the R1S). The frunk does get warm - it makes for a better pizza box than cooler IMHO...

    Off Road Performance

You could really only pre-order sight unseen, which I did. I was an early delivery and low VIN. My buddy had also ordered one (but after me), and for some reason his was ready for delivery prior to mine (by a few weeks), so I ended up going to his delivery PRIOR to my own delivery. I went for...

    Off Road Performance

True, some like TFL or Out of Spec may get them to test them, but keep in mind that they may also have actually ordered them ahead of a bunch of people here on this site. I take all the bloggers reviews with a grain of salt, but they were not far off in their "opinions" and reviews about CT...

    Off Road Performance

I never said a bunch of bloggers (to be clear). I'm guessing there will be some very important people at Scout that have them way before the first reservation holders have them - but for good reason. They need to control the release carefully and makes sure that whoever does get them first, has...

    Off Road Performance

I see the need for a lot of real-world testing to build consumer confidence, create awareness, build sales & marketing assets and to enable early adoption / conversion of reservations (some without actual test drives). With a limited run of vehicles, training and hiring of personnel on the...

    Service Center

Whoa~ big shooter coming in 'a guns a blazin' Who did you ask? They may not want to share all those details yet, since they likely still have planning to do around precise market locations, labor opportunities, real estate prices, proximity to logistics, etc... This does NOT need to be set in...

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Production Run Will Be Short

    Travelall 3 Row

This might be the only Yellow I have ever liked on a truck... Probably b/c it reminds me of this IH Wrecker conversion: https://mattsoffroadrecovery.com/?srsltid=AfmBOor-MlUuhwwZg8YL15XXUOXCUpzvuD5wqx3JQ28JmniYGa_kGR3Z

    Travelall 3 Row

I 100% agree - that Travelall is a real 'bute Clarke. I have nothing against a giant Scout - its just a different (future) edition that what we are looking at first, and will def have very different attributes... The current traveler seems more oriented toward possible off-road excellence.

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

A simple tile for CarPlay stuff that can be toggled to is really all that is needed in the case of the Scout (to get to core ACP functionality). The rest of the Scout stuff remains Scout stuff.

    Travelall 3 Row

Yep - headed into this territory methinks... Pretty funny. "Saggy butt territory" LOL https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2023-land-rover-defender-130-debut/
