  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

I thought the same thing when I saw it. Here's an idea for Scout: Model specific shirts, one for Traveler and one for Terra.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Welcome! I imagine we will all learn more about those details as Scout gets closer to production. They are currently hiring the people who will be tasked with designing and building the systems that will make all that possible.

Interesting article about the engineering underneath the new Scouts

Welcome to the forum! My guess is that Scout looked at all the options. I'm going to reserve judgement until the final design is announced.

Terra questions about tires and payload

Welcome to the forum! What a cool story and job you have! Sounds like the perfect use case for the Harvester. Alternatively, if you're camping out for several days or weeks at a stretch, perhaps a portable battery bank and solar panels could recharge the battery for you if you went with the...

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

This is pretty much where I ended up on this. I think it makes more sense for legacy automakers to add an EV designation to model names, especially if they make that model in both ICE and EV variants. Examples of this would be the Ford F150 and F150 Lightning, or the Chevy Blazer and Blazer EV...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Welcome! My reservation is for the full BEV Terra, in large part for the reasons you mentioned around reduced maintenance. For me, the range that Scout has advertised for the BEV version is perfectly fine. If the final production models have an increased range due to battery tech improvement...

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

Yeah, the blue e is a nice compromise and gives a subtle nod to electrification.

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

I actually agree with this. A separate name probably isn't necessary for the BEV Scouts.

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

I really like Electrall. Bonus if Scout already owns it from the acquisition of IH.

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

I was looking again at the picture I posted earlier of Reddy Kilowatt, and I noticed the name of the scooter he's riding on. If you just change one letter it would be perfect. It's even written in a similar font to the Scout logo.

What do you all do? Curious about Scout buyers occupations, or former occupations.

I work in the solar industry. Currently in sales and system design, but I've done installation and project management as well. Before solar, I did a little bit of everything including land surveying, high-end copper and slate roofing, and even sold cars for a couple years.

    Welcome to the forum!

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Welcome to the forum! You still have time to decide. Resevations get locked in and finalized when Scout lets us pick options, etc and finalize the order. Until then, you can change your mind if you want to.

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

I haven't gotten it either. Hope I don't need to worry about missing important emails about my reservation. It's the same email I used when I placed the reservation. Checked the promotions and spam folders.

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

Too bad the trademark for Reddy Kilowatt is owned by Xcel Energy.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

Welcome! Sounds like your experience is similar to many on here in that the Scout will be our first EV. It is very exciting to be part of this forum and to be able to see and hear developments right from Scout, and to be able to offer input as well. There is a wealth of information on the forum...
