  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Sounds like Tesla didn’t pay their “protection money” and let a foreign company take over their turf. Lol “ “Tesla says it’s been preparing for this outcome for years, by installing 116 Supercharger stalls off the Turnpike. Its onboard trip planner will now automatically reroute drivers to...

    Driving Distance Poll

My daily commute is around 100 miles a day when the older kids are in school. I drive to the VA in Dallas around twice a month which is around 160 miles round trip. When we go to the beach in the summer that’s around 920 miles round trip (not factoring running around town and seeing sights)...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Burrito stuffing confirmed 🫡 Thank you sir! I looked up what Level 2 + Driver Assistance is according to NVIDIA (I think Rivian is using their system so Scout might too) The Society of Automotive Engineers has designated six categories of autonomous driving, ranging from Level 0 to Level...

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

It appears the Terra tracks are on the side of the bed. This can all of course change before launch.

    Battery tech

I am really excited for future battery tech, including solid state, but honestly LFP sounds perfect for my use case. My wife and I commute separately around 100 miles a day. A Harvester vehicle would work for both of our daily drivers with a little extra to spare if we only want to run on...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Rivian is supposedly including LIDAR on all of their R2s. Some recent videos and photos show a pocket on the roof above the windshield. People are speculating that VW is giving Rivian access to their buying power to get the LIDAR units for a better price. EDIT: You beat me to it R1TVT...

    Travelall 3 Row

One would think the 800v architecture would still make charging a larger battery relatively fast compared to current EV charging speeds. Maybe it will be less of an issue to charge such a large battery and the BEV will be more appealing with 450+miles range..

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

In one of the videos I shared recently a community UX designer said it was all camera based when he was discussing the different screens including the driver assistance one. That could change between now and launch.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Very true and I appreciate you sharing your experience. What level drive assist do the first gen Rivians have? Is it hands off? I dont expect to take a nap, but adaptive cruise and lane keep assist will be nice to just stretch and move around a little bit. It may make my dream of stuffing my...

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

At least you get some of that energy back in an EV once you crest the hill with your trailer and started heading down the other side. Id love for my gas tank to fill back up when I coast downhill 😆

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

Its not irrational. I totally get it and resisted air for a long time. I was going to convert both Lexus to coil springs but realized how much smoother it was on the road where I spend a majority of my time, and all the benefits with towing and camping outweighed the cons FOR MY USE CASE. I...

    Travelall 3 Row

They start discussing a 3 row SUV at around 1:01:00 and it sounds like he is saying its based off of the SUV. Basing it off of the Terra makes sense to me too though.

I knew about the "Sway Bar Disconnect" they had borrowed from McLaren but wasnt sure what it looked like. Its very cool to see a breakdown on this system. Sway Bar Disconnects make a huge difference off road, and gives you a planted ride on the highway. Lexus has E-KDSS and it makes a huge...

    Travelall 3 Row

So just for fun, if Scout designed a Travelall, do you think they would use the same Harvester engine? Do you think the Harvester would get a larger battery or a larger fuel tank with the extra frame length? Would it be lower with smaller tires and more range focused? How would you want Scout...

Right. I was trying to ask how much a replacement would cost. My apologies for not clarifying.

    Harvester towing

Thats the problem, because this subject does matter to a lot of people. In fact if you look at Harvester reservations youll see it affects a majority of Scout reservations. Many of which would be purchasing this as their first EV because the Harvester offers the best of both worlds for...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

You can drive across my state from sunrise to sunset and still be a within our borders. I will take all the driving assistance I can get! I’ve done plenty of 16 hour day road trips with no breaks and I’m ready to relax and enjoy the journey more without having to be so focused on driving...

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

Ooof. Looks like they are pricey. Even eBay prices are around $500-$1,000 each. I guess that makes sense with them being an IFS/IRS vehicle. The front air struts on the Scout will probably also be expensive, but the rears could potentially be a lot cheaper if they are using coil spring mounts...
