  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Living with EV

Since I am not an EV fan I have been watching a ton of videos on the Youtubes to try and get a sense of what it is like to live with EV's and I am focusing on videos from people who are EV fans, but after nearly a week of this my impression is honestly mixed at best. Thermal limits on chargers...

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

I think the real difference for pure EV vs Harvester largely comes down to customer understanding/perceptions of range anxiety, existing EV infrastructure, and recharge times. Because EV's are still not widely adopted some of this is simply lack of info/experience, but I already see pure EV...

1,000+ reservations take rate stats: Harvester vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

I'm expecting $3K-$5K - and am OK with that depending on where final pricing ends up for the decked out offroad capable version.

    Keep the ol' Scout Too?

Depends in part on final pricing for me - I love my 2010 JKU Rubicon and really don't want to get rid of it - if end pricing for the vehicles as shown (35's, nice interior, etc.) ends up in the $60K range after incentives/tax credits I can probably keep the Jeep - but if it ends up more in the...

    Suspension Speculation

Looked but did not find anything specific yet which makes sense although I'd expect this decision ought to be made soon - what kind of suspension are we expecting - old school static spring/shock setup, adjustable air a la Rivian and others? If I missed something somewhere let me know. My...

    Electrochromatic Panoramic Sunroof?

I know there has been some discussion about roof types, but for the concept panoramic sunroof is the thinking electrochromatic tinting where you can set it opaque or translucent, or a simple physical shade?

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

Exactly this for me as well - but need full electric performance for tow capability, speed, etc.

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

Honestly they nailed it. The Traveler is....

Are factory deliveries for reservation holders being considered?

I will absolutely fly to Blythewood to pick up my Traveler Harvester, that would make for an epic 1200 mile road trip introduction to living with an EREV - like picking up a Corvette from the factory, how cool would that be.

    Gas Powered Range Extender

FWIW, I can say despite the outstanding design and legit offroad specs, if the Harvester Range Extender option were not available I would not have made a deposit, mostly due to towing and long cross country requirements but also due to me not being an EV person. The fact that Scout Motors...

    EREV option for Larger BEV?

Being new to the EV/EREV concept, should we expect full electric performance on the Harvester, as in full pull, towing, acceleration, etc.? And will the Harvester essentially work like a gas vehicle in that you could just keep filling it up and going once battery is depleted or you switch to...

    Community events?

The MOORE Expo in Springfield MO would be a great stop along with, of course, the various Overland Expo events

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

One of the things that has made Jeep so endearing and enduring is the ability to personalize their vehicles, especially of course the Wrangler series in all it's generations - easily my most favorite aspect of owning my JKU Rubicon. Interior, exterior, suspension, accessories - the Jeep...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

My top ideas/requests: Off Road Tow Mode - be sure we can enjoy tow mode while off road Weatherproof passthrough in roof (maybe top of liftgate) for roof mounted (or roof top tent mounted) solar panels Aftermarket Round Headlight for us old school guys SSII style forward grille/mask Rallye stripes

    What did you reserve?
