  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Ideas for the scout pickup

This may seem small and silly, but I want a trash can. Seriously. Every who drives ends up having trash at some point and it always goes in the door cubbies, the cupholders, or the center console. I'd take part of the center console and make that a trash can that closes with a lid and has a...

    What Are You Driving Now?

That gen 1 TT was such a breath of fresh air when it debuted. Definitely a cure for the common Boxster.

    Is EV demand really tanking?

Ford had a good month after having Mach-E woes. https://electrek.co/2023/12/04/ford-sets-ev-sales-record-nov-lightning-becomes-best-seller/

    Is EV demand really tanking?

I think this is a good summary statement.

    Daily Driver Comforts

I wear one of those silicone rings. If it could unlock my vehicle...now that would be next-level.

    Is EV demand really tanking?

Very true. People are definitely buying fewer vehicles overall because of higher interest rates and the ability for OEMs to meet demand once again.

    Is EV demand really tanking?

Lots of headlines saying EV demand has plummeted but here's some data from the S&P Global, who doesn't have a stake in the EV game. This data shows that registration for many non-Tesla EVs are increasing and the stories about EVs "piling up" on dealer lots seem to be mostly a Ford problem. In...

    Daily Driver Comforts

Agreed. The inconsistency drives me crazy. Such a great idea but the execution is falling short right now. Thankfully the GV60 also has biometrics (face recognition and finger print scanner) as well for starting the vehicle. So I was willing to try the phone key because I knew I had a backup...

    Scout Design Ideas

Definitely good to keep in mind that the first models to market are just that: the first. I hope loyal Scouts don't despair that all design features on their lists are not met with the first models. I feel like this will just be the starting part and Scout will expand offerings and models as the...

    Branding Collaboration

Scout hasn't revealed the design of the truck or SUV yet. I'm sure there will be so really cool customizations in the years to come!

    Fuel option/crucial to success

I drove a Prius for 10 years and it was a great car. Never had a problem with it.

    Fuel option/crucial to success

I believe the commitment to full battery electric at Scout is set at this point. I feel we're just in a growing pains stage right now with charging infrastructure. I don't own any ICE vehicles anymore and that has worked really well for me. I get it though that I have a garage and can charge at...
