  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

Love to hear an announcement of how they are quietly working on battery technology for the BEV Terra. This way they can compete with Rivian, Tesla Cybertrucks, Chevy EV and any other EV truck. Then when the tides change in the next few years Scout Terra BEV will bust out and lead the pack.

In what movie franchise would you like to see the new Scout make an appearance?

Nice play on words. I could see a scene where Jason breaks into a secret CIA facility in the red rocks of southern Utah and comes blazing out in a bronze metallic Terra EV with a quad motor going 0-60 under 4 seconds and leaving all the ICE engine Broncos in the dust.

    Marketing IDIOTS

Dude how many people do you really know? My guess is not enough to be giving advice to a company like Scout that want to build a line of vehicles that will carry on into the future.

Scout Terra, please don't let me down!!!

Totally speculating but my guess is the Terra Harvester will be 7,500 and the Traveler Harvester will be 6,500 or less. That should be enough for your lawn mower trailer.

What will be your signature scent after new car smell wears off?

What ever the local dispensary has on sale. Mostly liklely a Sativa as it keeps you awake and focused 😉

Scout Terra, please don't let me down!!!

That's an interesting perspective. Is that the latest guess on the Terra Harvester 7,000 pound towing capacity. That's 600-750 on the tongue plus the weight of engine south of axel. Does that leave any cargo carring capacity in the bed of the truck?

Scout Terra, please don't let me down!!!

Valid points but just the thought of all that stinking gasoline sloping around makes me cringe. No my point is engine hanging off the back affecting towing ratings. If your not towing maybe not an issue.

Scout Terra, please don't let me down!!!

Cyure thanks for your response. I think you woke me up to the fact i have always wanted to be popular and cool group and it just never happens 😉 I still have hope. I won't be ready for a new truck until 2029. What i need more then popularity is patients. I am fine with 2030 just hope they dont...

Scout Terra, please don't let me down!!!

I scrolled quite a ways down the forum before I found a thread with Terra in it. Nothing about Terra's on other social media outlets. I understand Scout has to promote products that they feel are likely to sell the most of but I am getting very concerned the Terra EV is going to be a pipe dream...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I have a feeling that when the specs do come out a lot of the Harvester reservations will either change to bev or go away. I hope not but so many folks on this forum and FB are expecting way to much from the Harvester. They just hear gas and goand 500 mile range and they want that.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Very good points. My point was the 85 % for Harvesters is likley going to change. I personally would never roll with any trailer over 5,500 pounds. Wich is no means humongous.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

So I wonder how this 85% of Harvester orders are going to change or go away when the specs come out. I wonder if the release of these specs is purposely going to not come out for as long as possible. I am sure that if they can't add a significant amount of tow/tounge weight capacity to the...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

I am not patient like you cure. Maybe I need to take a break for a bit because I know I am being negative Nelly. Just can't help think the Terra BEV is just on the back burner. Not hearing any new info on possible getting more then 350 or anything on the Terra. One thing for sure is I am not...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Maybe its just me not paying enough attention but with less the 18 months before these Harvesters start production you would think more details would be coming soon. That likely might slow down all the rumors

    BEV Delay

I 100% agree. I liklely would have ordered a R1T by now as I think it is an awesome vehicle. Best ground clearance, off road capability, 420 mile range and a total BEV vision. But damn that Terra just simply looks cooler. I am so vain. Hopefully the pendulum will swing back to Scout putting more...

    Scouts towing capacity harvester upage?

I searched and could not find this article. The rendering of engine placement just doesn't seem ideal for off road trailer or even off road use without trailer. Towing a boat, car or Elkhart Rv maybe not so such and issue. I know the off road trailer crowd is small so just trying to be...

    Scouts towing capacity harvester upage?

The following review pop up on the Harvester models. I just can't imagine how towing or tongue weight capacity especially off road without a wdh is going to ever be high enough for any heavier off road trailer adventures. I want Scout to sell as many vehicles as possible and do what ever it...

TFL dumping on Scout in there latest video

I am really starting to hate that word ICE. Maybe you could find a Bronco or Jeep forum to hang out in?
  19. BartMan Terra Total EV

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I missed that about the engine being in-between axels. Thx Space. What about cargo caring capacity? Good point about ceo not being an engineer.
