  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Oooh, I didn't see the glass roof in the Mountainside! That's on my spec list! Any pictures and info you can get about that would be greatly appreciated!

Sigh. I think we're spirit animals. I'll do the same darn thing! :ROFLMAO:

You know what? This is a really good point and not something I really thought of. I got rid of one truck because we had our son and his car seat would not fit behind my seat (Colorado). The issue I'm having now with my R1T is that he's in a booster now and his feet are hitting the back of my seat.

    Warranty Considerations

I'd be satisfied with that. Totally. @Chuckles Thanks for digging this up and letting us know about it!

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

This is a very reasonable approach and your comment about regretting your purchase down the line is something I'm going to have to wrestle with at launch. I always seem to find some excuse to trade my vehicle two or three years after I get it. What I don't want to do is what I did with the '21...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

If I were a betting man (I'm not), I'd bet that those who receive the first Scouts off the line will depend on some formula based on the following factors: what you reserved (they are building the Harvester Traveler first), whether you're willing to buy and pay for what you can get at launch (at...

Scout Factory Extended Warranty?? Can you Beat Ford ????

As it relates to the original bumper-to-bumper warranty, I'd like to see 4 years/50,000 miles to match what Rivian offers. That selfishly gives me peace of mind because I generally flip my cars around 3 years but I generally have more than 36,000 miles! I'll buy another Scout, promise! 🤷‍♂️

This sounds more like what I'm familiar with.

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

YES! Totally 35's but with A/T, not the mud tires, for me. I'm a bit apprehensive about what the 35's will do to the overall range, but I had a Silverado Trail Boss that had tires from the factory that looked ridiculously small and it always irritated me. I'm not sure if Scout will "lower" the...

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

About 26". I'm 6'3" and never had a problem but others who were more ... vertically challenged struggled. I actually liked it because I could just slide in and out. No up or down and I'd like that again. My wife told me that if the Traveler is the same height, I need to get steps on it. BOO...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

My round trip commute is about 60 miles. When I had my Silverado ZR2, at $3.50 a gallon, it cost me about $12 a day to drive to and from work. I charge my Rivian at night and costs me around $1. I'd much prefer the BEV, but most of my driving is in town so I'd rarely use the gas. I'm more...

If the Trail-Ready Traveler were a dog breed, which dog breed would she be?

English bulldog. I've had two. Stocky, square, stubborn, and strong as you-know-what but cuddly, warm, and your best friend. Sometimes stinky. 🤷‍♂️

This. THIS is what we need to make BEV main stream. Now these better be fast chargers and not level 2.

    Scout Color Poll #1

@cyure beat me to it! :ROFLMAO:
  15. Broverlander

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I know we're guessing at this point, but does anyone have any educated guesses as to how long we'd have to wait for the BEV? Are we talking a few months? A year? I'd prefer a BEV, but if it's a year, I can't wait. If I had to wait until June 2028, I could make that work.

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

I agree whole heartedly! When I asked the question about the Traveler's step in height, that's exactly what I had in mind. It wasn't because I wanted it lower. It's because I want it to look more rugged and off-road like, want to maintain that height, and my Silverado ZR2 had the right look...

September 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

I have never followed the start up of a motor vehicle before (I was late to the Rivian game) and most certainly have never followed the start up of a brand new facility to build it. The amount of engineering and planning to goes into building this facility is mindboggling. They must have...

If you could ask Scott Keogh one question….

My question: other than the obvious physical characteristics, what differentiates Scout from Rivian as they both appear to want to play in the same sandbox.

If you could ask Scott Keogh one question….

I've not heard that. He has indicated several times that it started with one employee (was it him?). If he did pitch it, I'd be curious to know what sold VW on the idea.

    Traveler 240 outlet

I would very much like a 240V in the Traveler. It's nice to have the option should I need it. Not for V2H, but for tools and the like for my woodshop should I need it and find some hypothetical free time again!
