  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Please no erev!

I still take several stretch, bathroom, snack, shopping, or lunch breaks with my SUV hybrid with +450 mile minimum range. I rather stop when I want to instead of having to stop because of lack of gas range or EV battery power. I took a trip over the 4th of July weekend from ABQ, Denver, and...

    Please no erev!

I'm part of the 85% EREV reservation with the Traveler SUV. It checks too many boxes to support my driving habits, environment, and lifestyle living in the high desert southwest. The charging infrastructure outside of major southwestern/western cities is very limited compared to the corner gas...

    Scout Traveler Spirit of '26

I like the option of dark trim with zero chrome with the new Scout.

What Colors Do You Think Scout Will Offer at Launch?

I’m really liking the copper/orange of the demo Traveler SUV. I see a similar color on the Ford Broncos around town. I really need to see it in person compared to a computer/phone screen. I hope we get the option of any interior colors with any exterior color. I had to change my exterior color...

Drivers not happy with their car screens

I have dual screens in my Acura's (19 MDX and 18 RLX). Top fixed non-touch screen with shade hood for Navi/Carplay/vehicle settings and bottom fixed touch screen for info-tainment, auto/manual heat/vent seats, and Auto/manual climate controls. I'm a "set it and forget it" and use steering...

Check Engine - Needs to go away

My shade tree mechanic days were over decades ago. We would swap out engines, transmission, starters, water pumps, brakes, etc... at home in the 1 car garage back in the 70s/80s when cars were extremely basic (and usually built to crap out every 40,000-80,000 miles). I would be fine with...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I imagine the Scout BEV & EREV would have similar sized 12v battery that does lock/unlock, welcome lights, security, and ACC mode for radio/windows when the vehicle is not started. My SWAG is the EREV might use the electric motor/generator to start the I.C.E. when needed and it won't have a...

Front Bench Center Airbag – Safety Request

I don't know the details of the Scout safety systems like collision mitigation braking system, Adaptive Cruise Control with low speed follow, lane keeping assist with steer assist, road or lane departure mitigation with steering wheel assist, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning...

June 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Any plans to build a paved and offroad road course testing areas? I hoping we have an opportunity for a factory visit to test drive demo Scouts with an instructor lead events.

Would be cool to track our builds through the factory

Seems like that could be possible and you could track your vehicle by UserID/PW/VIN. I would have cameras all over the manufacturing floor. I imagine the VIN is scanned at every manufacturing station stop?

    Warranty Considerations

I would want to know the different time/mileage warranties for the EREV because of the EV components, I.C.E., & normal bumper-to-bumper warranties, extra manufacturers extended warranties we could purchase, and any 3rd party warranties that might good for the Scout nationwide. I like my Acura's...

    20-24 mpg

I'm probably going to use my Traveler Harvester in EV mode only around town (work and errands at around 100-125 miles per week). Planning to do a level 2 plug at home. Any trips out of town and I would switch to hybrid mode. Not expecting the full 500 miles at 75-85 mph with sea level to...

Is it just me or should Scout have gone this route

Scout "could" make a 3 row X-large SUV using the longer wheelbase of the Terra truck. That would be hard to pass up if you have 6-9 passenger seating, full traveler hatch area, and similar 350 mile BEV or 500 mile EREV. Plus, Scout could make a Colorado/Ranger/Tacoma size truck in...

Optional Diesel Range Extender for Scout EREV Models

Just my unverified observation living in NM; but, I think I see more EV charging stations compared to corner gas stations with diesel fuel outside of 18-wheeler truck stops? I have Costco/Sam's club cards and they don't sell diesel.

Optional Diesel Range Extender for Scout EREV Models

Other than pick-ups/trucks, I don't think there are diesel powered sedans, hatchbacks, or wagons sold in the USA in 2026? The bad thing is a lot of buyers would agree a diesel would be a good option if it wasn't too expensive to check that box. I don't think there would be a lot takers for the...

    Add high quality sound deadening

I imagine the noise, vibration, & harshness (NVH) for the Scout would be luxury car levels at city or trails speeds. OEM or aftermarket tire noise, paved road surface noise, and add in aerodynamics +/- accessories may be harder to snuff out once the Scout reaches hwy speeds (75-80 mph are the...

Time of year for factory pick up.

Too far for me to drive +1600 miles fresh off the production line Traveler EREV home to New Mexico without knowing the dealership network in between. I had minor issues with new vehicles with tires out of balance, alignment issues, or fit/finish that needed to be fixed after a few days of...

    FM Radio

I used to be a FM listener when in town until it now has too many ads and many switched to automatic repeating play lists. I really liked XM radio better with my first car with that option back in 2006. It was commercial free, same stations available in all 50 states, and worked in the middle...

    What’s your purchasing plan?

Deposit on Traveler Harvester EREV. I'm not in a rush because my current Acura MDX Sport Hybrid is only at +90,000 miles. Going +210,000 miles for Honda/Acura with mostly scheduled maintenance isn't an issue (done this with my 8 pervious Honda/Acura). I'm REALLY undecided about purchasing...

Scout Concepts in Hudson, New York, July 3, 2026

Thanks! A mid tier trim would also be my first choice also; unless, there was a specific tech or luxury feature I wanted that was only available on an upper trim.
