  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

I would like to see a concept with the stock wheel/tire size as well. Unfortunately, we will likely have to wait for the configuration app to see this. Hopefully that is still on schedule and will be available before the end of the year.

    First meal in your Scout

That reminds me of a story a neighbor told me. My friend Herb has a small horse farm and his family competes in horse competitions. When he needed a new pickup truck, they went looking for a used truck that would pull a horse trailer. Everything big enough was either too far away or too...

    First meal in your Scout

Depends on where you are in the country. If you are in areas that have well built charging infrastructure, you could do the "look for a station" thing in an BEV when your power levels get low, just like you do in a gas car. But, instead of looking at road signs you would look at the truck's...

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

We expect a trip report and lots of pictures. The day-by-day countdown to the event is optional. 😄

    First meal in your Scout

Well, if you do a factory pickup in Blythewood and head East on Rt. 20, there is a Buccee's about 90 minutes from the factory. They have EV charging and fresh BBQ brisket. We just need a volunteer to try it and let us know how it goes. I have eaten Buccee's on several trips, for the...

    Scout "Base" by LastDayScout

Well done! That looks nice for a "base" model, but it seems appropriate for the Scouts target price. I am a center console person, but I know a lot of people will want the bench seat. I love the look of the seats, that fabric matches the feel of the truck perfectly.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

Speaking second hand here, so I may be off-base. The main criticism against using natural leather in products is that the chemicals used to process the material and the by-products of the leather makers was a significant source of pollution. Prior to the US EPA's Clean Water Act (1972), leather...

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

Just remember that these are concept vehicles. The seats and controls can't be adjusted and are non-production materials, so even if you were allowed to sit in one (doubtful) you would not be able to adjust anything or judge the "feel." I am planning to see them in Boston when they will be...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I am confident they have someone working on the Infotainment Integration already. Reasonably confident. Well, maybe confident is too strong. Hopeful, I guess? 😄

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

There is a spot on the SM design team: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/scoutmotors/jobs/5155572007

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

I just dug into the Regatta web site. Scout Motors is an official sponsor. Unfortunately, I spotted a bit of an issue with their sponsorship info (my emphasis): I will be sending the grammar police your way, Jamie. Keep your hands were we can see them. :p

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

Yes! For those in the Boston area, mark your calendars. The Head of the Charles Regatta is October 16-18, 2026.

How would you build your Scout?

They don't have a "concierge team" yet, this is the closest I could find: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/scoutmotors/jobs/5200468007

How would you build your Scout?

After all this time on the forums and your experience with your Wrangler, you'll know more than anyone Scout hires as a concierge. I know I had more info than the sales rep when I bought my Ioniq 5. Maybe we should keep an eye open for "concierge team" job postings. If they offer part time work...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The Hyundai dealer I used when I bought by Ioniq 5 was excellent, and I have had good dealing with a few other auto dealers around here. But the local Subaru dealer was not very good, and I won't even go into a local Ford dealership again. This is one of the reasons I'm supporting Scout; they...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Dodge announced the EREV pickup (are they still calling it "REV"?) back in 2023 with deliveries in 2025. They still have not delivered the EREV. I would not put any money on them delivering a SUV EREV in time to challenge Scout.

    Spare Tire

When you say "standard spare", what do you mean exactly? When you say "standard", do you mean: available from the factory, included at no extra cost, or a full sized spare? From what you reported the representative said, a spare will be available from a factory. It will be available at an...

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

Both OSHA and the California Air Resources Board mandate color coding for fuel containers: Red containers hold gasoline exclusively. Yellow containers are for diesel fuel. Blue designates kerosene (though blue can also indicate water, requiring attention to labeling). Green containers hold...

    Spare Tire

I don't know what this is, what does "in Cola" mean? Can you provide additional details? When was this said, and in what context? Do you know which representatives said this? What specifically did they say? Were they talking about a specific model (like the Harvester) or just in general?
