Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     Rivian sold me a full-sized spare with my R1T directly with my purchase for $800 Here is the line item from my configuration. This was a good deal at the time!

    This is an inaccurate statement and you can absolutely order a spare with a Rivian (I have 20" full-sized spare with an A/T sitting in the bed of my truck right now), or simply buy one in their online gear store here for any wheel or tire configuration...

    The Limited Launch Green paint was made available to all R1 launch customers as part of the Launch Package at no additional charge in 2022. Rivian really did provide very good value at launch.

    I think Rivian painted all the panels on the R1's all at once after dipping the entire truck. Maybe the R2 process is entirely new. With the R1 process, this would have been next to impossible (unless a panel was damaged at the factory and replaced with the wrong panel somehow).

    Who knows if that will be an option straight from the factory, or via certified partners and installers, but it could be at some point... Rivian added Xpel many months post-launch, FWIW. I had PPF installed on my R1T fascia, hood and tailgate at a local detail shop before they offered it...

    Very true, and I would say similarly "flat" front fascia to the Scout - which is 100% a giant bug crusher.

    I think the surround DRL looks good from a distance and the surround gives the Scout a unique front end (and gives a nod to being electric), but with snow, ice, dirt, mud and bugs, I do believe that this fascia might be re-worked a bit, but still give the appearance of being scalloped.
