  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

Yes, agreed, not for me, but sharp & very clean! I can't tell, but did the silver bits on the bumper and chin get grayed-out? If so, that is great touch. I would love to see that on the Terra, too. I may need to dust-off my ascot and smoking jacket for a test drive in this refined looking rig...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Let's be honest. I think this conversation needs a refresher on truck weights and towing. Scout isn't building 3/4 or 1 ton series vehicles. Those vehicles are optimized for towing heavier loads, handling higher tongue weights and they behave much better than 1/2 tons that are at capacity. If...

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

A lot of patent applications are filed preemptively but never turn into actual production features. Its a way to capture ideas and future proof the business in case something gets legs and sticks. Do I see that sticking? I don't think Scout will invest the resources into developing something...

Ditto. No way I'm putting any bike over my glass roof. Not to mentioned drag...

I put one of these on my R1T for running my 1-Up MTB rack... When the rack is folded up against the tailgate, it keeps the racks away from the paint, and makes the rack easier to take on and off...

I'm pretty certain that we will see a new trailer hitch set-up/configuration with production. How does one attach a pin here? The surround could be removable to make that possible, but it still appears that the hitch receiver is sitting too flush with the bumper cover to be functional. There is...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

We all know that Scout was testing Frankenmules (or whatver they were called) and that they looked absolutely NOTHING like the prototypes that have been shown (and represent the exterior skins of the actual production trucks). The mule testing was for hardening specific components & a lot of...

Same. I see more every day. This is a good thing for everyone.

Every local fleet should run EV's, as well as first-responders. No-brainer, its starting to happen as ICE fleets age and depreciate.

    Turning off ALL notification beeps.

There are definitely some VERY annoying cars and trucks out there today. Some of the new hybrid cars basically emit noise pollution they are so loud, and all the sensors for seatbelts and other things can be completely over the top.s If Scout takes a page out of Rivian's play book (and perhaps...

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I would prefer no hood tie-downs, as I've never had a need to tie anything to a location on the hood. Also, and with an EV, I would be even less inclined to put anything on the roof. I get a lot of snow and ice in the winter here (build-up of ice + windshield = bad). Unused tie-downs add...

    Spare Tire

The answer right now is TBD based on which wheel + which tire + combined weight. The rotational mass is a factor, as is aerodynamics, as is weather, as is the tire compound itself. Then add driving style to the mix. One good reference point is to look at Rivians estimated ranges on different...

Usually the space in a PickUp behind the rear seats is extremely limited to allow for crew cab leg room

Yes, something like that could work well too - especially if there could be fitted slots for them integrated directly into the bed as a storage option.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I think there is an opportunity for a "crew-cab truck manufacturer" like Rivian or Scout to offer an alternative to the glass roof with 3 well-designed, interlocking panels (which would fit into the same space that the Cabana roof would occupy). The panels could be moved into integrated storage...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

No. I bought it directly with my purchase when they launched in 2022 and that line item was from my order configuration and purchase. Of course, Scout could launch and change directions with their own gear shop or enable direct purchasing at the time of order. I just want to clarify, b/c there...
