  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

I wonder how much it would cost to create a seperate panel centering the plate for models without the backpack so that it doesn’t look like we got the poverty level trim? Or does anyone have a large 3D printer?

That rep told me “there will be an up charge for that.” At least a dozen times. And when I read your post, I heard her voice. Country as cornbread in an iron skillet.

Definitely thought about it. Practically, not sure if it would work having to swing the big boy out to put stuff in especially if in a tight space.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

Anyone else hoping for body colored cladding? I hated the trend of black plastic since it became a trend. And have already decided that I might need to plan for an immediate wrap, just to diaper it up a tad bit.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

It’s about what I expected. But honestly after hearing they are throwing a can of fix a flat in to replace the back pack tire, I’m starting to look at other options. And while they may not be as efficient, the overall setup will be less complex. And I can pick up a cheap preowned EV to satisfy...

Same. If the options are fixed glass roof, canvas top, or steel roof. I’m leaning toward steel or fixed glass (although I’d prefer a functioning sunroof. The canvas is a cool idea, but I’m concerned about its longevity and functionality.

    Spare Tire

THIS! When the rep argued with me about the Bronco not coming with a full-size spare as standard equipment, it took every ounce of energy I had not to laugh. Ma’am. The people showing up this early to look at a Scout know cars. And, perhaps more importantly, we live in an age where it takes...

    Spare Tire

There are plenty of folks who do. Myself included. I travel a lot in rural areas. I have had the saga and frustration of waiting in a tow to take my X5 2 hours away because no one local had the tire in stock. And why go through the haggle of buying one third party, when they have time to do it...

    Spare Tire

It’s a massive tire, that’s for sure. I don’t see how it be practical outside the off road enthusiast crowd. Its not serious enough to annoy me. I don’t care what size tires anyone opts for. It appears it was designed to accommodate them from the jump, as they have already stated it can have...

    Spare Tire

Good to know. So this “Extreme Off Road package” she mentioned ain’t real?

    Spare Tire

I thought so too! But at the Columbia event, they stated differently. We know we can’t take anything they have said as concrete because so much is still being finalized.

    Spare Tire

I’m almost certain this big wheels will come standard with the tire backpack.

    Spare Tire

Cola = Columbia It was stated by a Scout Rep. They specifically said that a spare tire would not be standard equipment, and that the ones that did not opt for the optional spare on the back hatch, would get an inflator kit.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I’m hoping she was misinformed. But everything we noticed she mentioned there will be an “upcharge”, and “this is the direction the industry is going”. Now I’m not sure how she could possibly know, when the next sentence that came out of her mouth talked about how so much wasn’t finalized...

    Spare Tire

Sorry. Need to clarify. It doesn’t offer one as standard equipment.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Also….I did get a picture of underbelly. Nice and slippery! This is going to be incredible off road.
  18. merrelljohnson

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Right. Not disagreeing with any point you made. All the cars mentioned do in fact come with a spare as standard equipment (donut or full size). And I don’t think anyone would expect a 37 inch tire to fit under the hood. Or hang from underneath so the backpack seems to be the only viable...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Just the tire. I like the carrier, but it appears it’s for the off-road option. All others will get an inflator kit.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

Was it? One could hope, right. Especially with the news that the overall shape of the frunk will change.
