    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    While I think a delay would suck, I'm currently not in a position where I need to worry about replacing my current vehicle so I can wait. Obviously things can change between now & then, and I'd like my Traveler sooner rather than later, but Faith & Patience© is working so far.

    Yeah, you'd think with the R2 launch going well, there'd be a little more "counter-programming". Even being 2 years out of production, you don't want to lose too much momentum. The upcoming events should help, but they're limited by geography - hopefully a lot of good info comes out of them.

    I got faked out today - large semi-rigid envelope in the mailbox. Though maybe I made the cut for a poster! Turned out to be a debt consolidation offer (which makes you wonder how much money those people make if they can send out fancy mail to people who've never contacted them before).

    The Chevy Volt was like that. The concepts were angular & futuristic and different looking when it debuted, but by the time the production model came out it had been design-by-committeed to death and was just a big ole BLAH.

    Yeah, and half* of the population actively works against EV adoption (& renewables in general) because...reasons? *Using half very loosely here since we have 2 major political/policy parties. Also knowing it's not everyone associated with that party, but: guilty by association.

    Same. I think I like the *idea* of the cabana more than I'll actually use it. I have a sunroof on my current car and it rarely gets opened. It's also much smaller than the cabana on the concept, so maybe the larger size will make it more impactful & it'll get used? I don't know...

    That's neat! But then also strange that it appears the base has a different wiper configuration? I guess because the back window doesn't roll down? But then what about those 6 extra miles they get from putting the wiper in its cubby? I'd want those miles! lol

    Did they just forget to put a wiper on the Performance image? I don't see it at all? Sometimes these images are just renderings (or photos with enhancements), so I wonder if someone forgot to unhide a layer in their Photoshop file. hahaha

    I keep eyeballing this shirt - https://supply.scoutmotors.com/collections/featured-collection/products/pioneer-long-sleeve-t-shirt - but I wish the graphic on the back was moved up like 3 - 6 inches. And the keychain, but also kind of hoping that gets included in a purchase welcome gift. :D

    I'm honestly surprised there aren't more electric-based cab companies. Maybe that's because with Uber/Lyft they use the contractor loophole for their drivers, so they can't really require a specific vehicle. But it's seemed like a no-brainer to me for years - Eco-Cab, Green Cab, etc.
