  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

DM sent. Thanks! Totally, the R2 is going to be the king of commuters. In fact, there is nothing better for daily commuting than an EV. It's the equivalent to seeing your phone fully charged after being in the red. Only now its your car everyday and all you had to do was remember to plug it...

    R2 Launch Watch

Ok so I have a reservation, (of which I will no longer be using) but apparently the way it is going to work is they are going to give current R1 owners the first access. Unknown yet what this access will be, but the early information is that they will of course all be Launch Performance versions...

Awesome! What is your build going to be? Are you going to get a Launch model? When you go to order use a code so you can get Rivian credits. If you dont have any others would love if you used mine. 🤙 MATTHEW1148433

Well for once I think Rivian has Tesla beat! R2 has TWO manual glove boxes. Also Rivian has a little drawer you can pull out in the center console that is perfectly sized for Kleenex boxes, seriously lol! Not only that but with RA you don't have to push a button you just say "Hey Rivian" and...

@SpaceEVDriver Curious to know. Do you think Rivian Assistant can be a solution to screen only difficulties? If RA can complete almost any vehicle functions by commands you give it and surely if a phone is connected to the system it will allow you to operate the apps on it via voice commands...

Rivian Assistant & Unified Intelligence Update

I am beyond excited to get this update. I have thoroughly missed voice texting/message reading since my Tesla, but beyond that just being able to tell it my destination and add POI's if I want, plus all the other advantages (and fun) that will come with having an AI assistant in the vehicle.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I'll third it. One of the things I've been impressed with the most so far is how close the team at SM is to the community and much interaction there is with us. They are really listening It's similar with Rivian but nowhere near as strong.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

RivianTrackr mentioned something that Rivian could potentially do the same thing again with R2. Current R1 owners are going to be given an option to "early" first availability pre-configurator made vehicles, which is apparently exactly what Jose is going to do to get one as early as possible to...

This is a good one about Scout going public to help VW skirt the DTC mess. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/volkswagen-s-scout-motors-could-go-public-before-its-trucks-reach-buyers/ar-AA22WVh5?ocid=winp2fptaskbarent&cvid=a6a5b200892f4807b3b3d8b884601bc2&uxmode=ruby&ei=8

Scout Concepts in Seattle, Washington, May 9, 2026

This is one of the only reasons I want an adjustable suspension on the Scout. I know air suspension isn't ideal for serious off-roading but I love having the ability to raise or lower the height of my R1T should want/need to.

6'5" with the roof rack is monstrous....I love it! However that is going be a challenge accessing the rack but worth the sacrifice IMO.

First off, thank you all for the reviews from your experiences. It's been really interesting to hear how different the opinions are from one person to the next. For me personally I want my Scout as wide and tall as I can get it because I live in suburbia and rarely ever go to the city. In fact...

Why I'm Cancelling My R2 Reservation

So I went to the R2 Block Party today in Atlanta. First thing I will say is there were A LOT of people interested in the R2. We waited for 45 mins to sit in the car, but Rivian did an awesome job of having 3 R2's available to explore and they would mix up the lines as you came in, you would go...

    Scout Color Poll #1

If Scout was planning on coming out with this type of removal top and roll bar setup they wouldn't be able to make them fast enough! Additionally I think one thing that the Scout community has made crystal clear is the request for more color choices. Surely we'll get a couple to choose...

Yeah I wouldn't trust Blue Cruise, or Super Cruise, but I trust the Rivian system and use it daily in my Rivian on my highway commute (roughly 30 miles continuously one way), but when I had my Tesla I used FSD to drive from Atlanta GA, to Norfolk VA, (over a 9 hr trip with charging stops) and...
