  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What If the Harvester Shed 1,000 lbs and Got Better? The Case for LTO + EA211-ERV

This is a good sign! It means you are actually human (and not an agent of AI trolling humanoid life forms on a Scout forum 🤖). 😁

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

Yes, and even if charging were more expensive for me, I also think about the experience of driving all day as a completely separate factor (in my own personal equation)... Even if my charging stops turn out to be longer than fuel stops, I much PREFER to drive my R1T. Its just not even a...

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

I own a 2022 Rivian R1T Quad Motor Launch Edition with a Large Pack battery. I have yet to experience a broken RAN charger since 2022. But, I also charge mostly at home for peanuts compared to GAS (or, I can charge for FREE at work). The math is pretty simple. 5 hours of driving at an AVG of...

What If the Harvester Shed 1,000 lbs and Got Better? The Case for LTO + EA211-ERV

2 thoughts: #1: AI is taking over the world and can be scary at times, especially if you don't know what to look for #2: Designing the Scout for an edge case was never an explicit goal 1 more thought: 💯

    Scout delayed??

Are you a Coal or are you a Horse? Literally just popped up.

    Scout delayed??

Right, but imagine what happened when people stopped riding on horseback to the saloon. They didn't just disappear all at once, and a lot of other new businesses popped up.

Headlight & DRL Color Temperature Changed?

2 words - "Balboa Mist". My lord.

Remember - these rags all have biases too... I would take all of this data with a grain of salt and consider sources and do much more exhaustive research if you don't know actual owners that can verify claims made by OEM's. Of course with Scout, we will be beholden to trusting 3rd parties. The...

    Key Fob question

Don't know a single manufacturer that ONLY issues PaaK.

    Higher Range

"Brand" is pretty broad in my mind... Very hard to tell what was aggregated underneath each "brand" - what models did they test? model year, tires, wheels, drive trains, battery packs? Hard to say looking at a brand chart. This is an example of a better perspective when considering range data...

How much more would you pay for a Launch Edition Scout

I think around 5K maybe, but wasn't ever really fully disclosed I don't think.

    Key Fob question

Or when your key FOB dies - then that sucks too! ;-)

How much more would you pay for a Launch Edition Scout

Launch Green was only made available to the earliest reservation holders who had the ability to convert a reservation into a Launch Edition, but they could choose other free colors or pay-to-play colors if they wanted. The configurator was given to those early customers first, and the limited...

    Key Fob question

Very true. But I could see the Harvester "audience" being more prone to wanting a tactile push button start, since you actually DO need to physically start the gen-set. Of course Scout probably wants to minimize costs. One option for Pure BEV owners could be to disable the requirement to use...

    Yes, Rivian as well.
