  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

Same. Mine is still sitting in the hidden compartment at the bottom of my frunk. I got a good deal at Launch! (y) I have all of my build info online at Rivian.com also, along with Docusigned paperwork records.

Will the Scout EREV be obsolete by the time it gets here in 2027/28?

The biggest part of this "AI problem" is a people problem - not necessarily a technology problem. If you don't put guardrails around a prompt in an AI tool, it will take whatever it can find. If you understand and recognize this, and create prompts with actual detail, context, direction and...

Will the Scout EREV be obsolete by the time it gets here in 2027/28?

For me (personally) anything with an ICE engine is already obsolete technology. But, that doesn't mean other people aren't going to buy ICE cars or Hybrids, or just stop using them all of a sudden. Also, even if SSB is proven, safe, reliable and tested thoroughly in EV's (which will take...

A place to put your physical media CD and DVD player

Hopefully Scout offers support for Palm Pilot integration to the Head unit.

    A less screen, focused layout

I'm a camper and an outdoorsy person - hell I even do a little farming on my own property. I pay $150 / YEAR for streaming, WiFi and numerous other features. Sure, I elect to subscribe to some other services too, but that is my choice, and certainly doesn't make me any less "outdoorsy". LOL...

A place to put your physical media CD and DVD player

Add a VHS and Beta Max! 📼

    A less screen, focused layout

Sorry - but I don't see any OEM putting clunky & obsolete HW into a modern EV truck when it is unnecessary - particularly with streaming

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

Good news... You don't have to. But, you can OPT IN TO USE IT and set it up with Connect+ in a Rivian. Based on some of the better implementations of agentic features that I have seen, I will certainly give it a chance and see if it's worthwhile. Sounds like some of you are having a bad day...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Honestly a paint job like that would be killer about 1 day a year in a parade to me... Not so sure about the other 364! The red white and blue Bronco at my local ford dealer is still on the lot... It was on the lot last summer and buried in snow all winter!

Rivian Assistant & Unified Intelligence Update

Agreed. And when I tell people that my R1T is the only vehicle that I have ever owned that has actually gotten better over time, this is just a another example. its actually pretty wild what they have done with OTA's for new features, new drive modes, Improved UI, BMS & efficiency enhancements...

Rivian Assistant & Unified Intelligence Update

This is a feature of how all agents work (whether its Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc). That 's nothing specific to Rivian, just how they've made their implementation work. There's also no mandate to use it.

Rivian Assistant & Unified Intelligence Update

This singular OTA update is going to EASILY make my Rivian Connect+ subscription worthwhile (beyond WiFi, Streaming and the other features). The hands-free thing has been a gap (without having seamless ACP or AA integration available). I still run my iPhone in the background (mainly to use Waze...

    Torn

It won't impact the brand at all in the short term - none of their competition has SSB. It could in the long term, but we are a long time off before we see a GenII Scout. So, relax, and sit back and enjoy the ride and read all the other threads on towing. ZERO reason to re-hash all this...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

If I were Scout I would ignore every request from the super-diluted pool of YT influencers and send my first production test vehicle directly to Edmunds for testing. YT influencers exist for one reason. Great if you want to support someone and that sort of "entertainment" - click away... But...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

This is innacurate. Some influencers (Sandy Monroe comes to mind) had early reservations, and got early deliveries. Others had test vehicles or went to events were they used Rivian trucks. Saying Rivian just let all the YT reviewers go to the front of the line is false. YT influencers ain't all...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

There's literally a video like this for every brand. Scout will be no different in that they will not be free from all problems, and if we are being honest with ourselves, we should all assume that we will all be early adopters for some time as Scout gets it's footing. Some of us will...

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

I feel a lot like this, but must admit that I do gravitate toward the way Rivian is conducting itself as a business - particularly in contrast to Elon when it comes to leadership. Rivian has a foundation, implemented solar, uses clean energy to power RAN's, supports stuff like MTB'ing & Surfing...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Did we see he see his shadow this year?

    Traveler NEEDS the bench seat

We need a FUD emoji to stick on threads... Maybe a pic of Elmer hunting wabbits.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I think a lot of this a human problem (not a Scout problem). We live in an on-demand / instant gratification world and people's expectations are whacked. Scout is in this for the long-haul as a business that needs to have a strong financial backbone to solidify their foundation, then grow &...
