  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I hear you on this. I looked at the article though and I saw this bullet And my first thought was this guy: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/15/business/ford-electric-vehicles-doug-field.html I don't know anything about him but given his employment history, his departure is likely good for...

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

Just dawned on me I recently did lease a new vehicle and I know more or less what the first song I played in it was, because it came up on my phone and the salesguy was like, wait, let this one play, I like it also. I know it was Beastie Boys, but not sure which song, probably this one: Pro...

I loved MST3K in college! Well more accurately I had friends who loved it and I appreciated it once in a while. I will have to look more into this when I am more awake and less trying to get work done that was due yesterday.

You might know Metric and not realize it from this song which featured in a popular movie. I've never seen the movie, but I think I get the gist of it from this video:

I don't know that one. And there are so many more I thought of during the day. I'm really liking Metric right now Gimme Sympathy leads to one of the best songs ever of course: Though I prefer the Perry Farrell version But really, I wanted to link this one, it does not describe my hair...

Long running parts supply is an important quality in a company. I wonder if it is still possible to get parts for my first IH (not a photo of the actual tractor, internet image of what i believe to be the same model) The red paint on mine was long gone, last I saw it you could describe it as...

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

For the whole time I owned my Subaru Outback, I had these three CDs in the 6 disc changer, just in case. One of these two, think it was the first, but might have been the second So I vote for a 6 disc changer instead of the single player.

This might help https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dukes_of_Hazzard_(film_soundtrack) No offense meant if you are not a fan. The movie was silly, if I recall correctly, but they handled the flag issue really well I thought. Showed how you can take something that has not stood the test of time...

Dropkick Murphys were a band that was sort of on my radar, so to speak, like an east coast version of Flogging Molly. Then I learned about Dropkick Murphys doing an album that was all Woody Guthrie songs and I was hooked. I actually bought this CD and the second CD also of Woody Guthrie...

Also Scout Motors should be planning ahead for how to adapt their production lines to run multiple models at once that expand their TAM (total addressable market). And, as I frequently tell myself, the best time to get something difficult done was yesterday. The next best time is today.

A lot of great songs listed in this thread, so I decided to list four I did not see already listed. Two from the 80s and two that are more recent Ok, one bonus link because this was actually the first song I thought of when reading these posts, but someone already mentioned it. Also...

Subaru has 2 AWD cars on the list and there are also 2 EVs. I agree a BEV that has 4WD is probably difficult, but again I say, Scout SSV https://www.oldcarsweekly.com/car-of-the-week-1979-international-scout-ssv-100-coupe-prototype Would it sell now? What? I don't normally think of the person at the valet stand when purchasing a car, but I guess... it could be a consideration for someone who valet parks regularly :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
