  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Interview with Ryan Decker, VP of Strategy and Brand, Scout Motors

Interesting that my NX just refers to them as "Inches". I would have thought we would have gone with Imperial vs Metrix or maybe something like "American Standard"

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

"Entry-model pricing expected to start under $60,000." To be fair it was crazy to think that it would never be in the 60k - 80k range. I mean just look at the BMW IX3 pricing, basically tops out at 80k if you start selecting the more expensive offerings. If the Traveler sits in between the...

    Scouts towing capacity harvester upage?

Patent drawings are barely associated with reality in my experience. Folks need to stop focusing on some vaguely made up powerpoint images

TFL dumping on Scout in there latest video

I think I should maybe go part time at work and just become an automotive journalist. At this current rate I think I can just use AI to source everything and then make up the rest

    Off-topic stuff…

It was honestly a really lame storm, I live in STL City and tree limbs didn't even fall down.

    R2 Launch Watch

Honestly I am not surprised, it is lower (half a foot basically), slightly more aerodynamic (the sloping roof line probably helps a TON), and I would image is much much lighter. I think getting above 300 miles is going to be very possible

    R2 Launch Watch

I mean that price is great considering there is no way that they would launch with the base model. The 45k model is still "planned". But I think the single motor model that is just under $50k is really going to be the needle mover. According to the leaked list the launch edition comes with the...

    Scout collaborating with researchers?

VW is going to hold the lions share of research money and grant work. I had a few research partners when I was at UTK that worked with VW on a variety of composite and thermomechanical work---- Proof

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I think a few of GM brands are going to be here to stay. Cadillac seems to still be riding the EV train and have some pretty compelling products, and I think that so long as Chevy keeps a strong, cheap EV option I think they are good. I am slightly more concenered about GMC...even though it is a...

To be fair I was basing my made up price on the F150's Tow Package, :ROFLMAO:

Calling it now: Scout "Towmaster" (taking name suggestions) Package: $1500, raises towing capacity to 7000lbs from 5000lbs

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

This is the real answer, except I wouldn't be surprised if it is also dependent on Suburb vs Rural. Rural Cali? Going to have a harvester or two, suburbs of Austin where every consultant has a 2018+ year home with Solar? Probably going to have more BEVs then average. Overall considering how...

Honestly how different is this then from producing 6 cars in 2027. Just make sure the first production run of vehicles is good

But your body will then become the crumple zone for all of the cargo in the back. So you could make the argument that this is actually a really "cargo-forward" type of setup
