  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

The minuscule trucks and cars looking like ice cream sprinkles truly shows the scale of the site model. It's happening!

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I couldn't care less about the size of the screen as long as the UI is smooth and responsive. I've never seen a car with a fast and responsive interface, which is one of the most consistent and noticeable disappointments that happens before I even begin driving. Even smaller screens feel great...

    Electrify Expo DC

My phone's battery ran out but I managed to get in one funny photo. I overheard some people chatting about a truck standing on a pebble and when I turned the corner, there was a Rivian kitted out with a bed tent and bikes, but daintily placed on a tiny little rock: So don't do this unless the...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

If this applies to the teaser silhouettes as well, the wheelbase and proportions of both models suggests that the pickup will be surprisingly large or the SUV will be surprisingly compact. If it's more the latter, I might line up to get one even with 4 doors. I call these approaches the home...

    Community forum careers footer link

The "Careers at Scout Motors" link in the footer hasn't been updated to link to the new careers page like the main site has. Just a heads up if it wasn't already noticed.

    Electrify Expo DC

Bright daylight outside, so I'm not sure there would be any info of value. I can certainly report back on the rest if there's any other notable catches.

    Electrify Expo DC

I purchased tickets back in May and noticed the event is finally coming up this weekend, not too far away from the Tysons WeWork. Is anyone from Scout Motors headquarters going to be peeking around Electrify Expo for fun and curiosity, or even to see how other major manufacturers present their...

    Scout 80 concept

Looking forward to seeing your interior concepts for sure. I also played around with removing the "binky" lights on the Equus scout throwback to see what it looked like with a cleaner front. After seeing both, the long pill glowing LED visor (assuming its not just white trim) circling the...

App / Touchscreen Interaction and Ideas

Check out Snowrunner and BeamNG.drive if you haven't seen them. They both have off-road landscapes and challenges. The former has a strong focus on dynamically squishing the terrain (great for mixed mud/snow/trees/winching), and the latter shifts the focus to the vehicles themselves (great for...

Your way sounds like a much better plan for sure! Generally true, yeah. I don't know anyone who wants to own multiple vehicles, and I do know a bunch of people who want more fun in their daily driver and have no kids, so they're happy with fewer seats or tighter cabins if it means the car takes...

I have a partner and I suppose we're both outdoor enthusiast Millenials. The only vehicle we've had was leasing a late (202X) Subaru Legacy, bought it out at the end of the lease and later resold for pretty much its MSRP. We are now in DC, so a very HCOL area, and haven't bothered getting...

I'm already seeing the tipping point in my area. Just on my street there's a Scion iQ, Smart, Mazda 3, and two Versas. I'm in a dense urban area with a ton of street parking where two modern cars can't drive past each other on a two-way street, so people desperately grab the tiniest car they can...

Yup, I'm painfully aware how slim the market share is. This is why I like the idea of using excellent mass market models to help allow the enthusiast models to exist by alleviating some of the risk of targeting slimmer but underserved markets. The fact that most Broncos are 4 doors doesn't mean...

If smaller and more affordable is coming back, imagine if the trend continued further and Toyota rebadged a Suzuki Jimny as a Land Cruiser Mini or did a tiny FJ... edit: apparently I completely missed all the news about their compact cruiser that basically is a baby FJ? And a lower beltline for...

    Dealerships Are Dying

Don't worry, dealerships can happily tack on a $40k "market adjustment" and still find buyers signing $1000/mo leases with the increased capitalized cost ;)
