  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

No word yet. The smaller roof on the terra means separate development and parts. Let's see what happens.

Great idea except the hard points won't change underneath very much. Plus if someone swaps to 37" tires and burns a hole through their frunk, we'd probably never hear the end of it. :D In all seriousness, there are fender liners before you get to the frunk tub. You are correct that the frunk...

Lighting has to conform to DOT regs in terms of color spectrum (within a given range) and brightness. We also have to install required reflectors on the sides (they will most likely get integrated into the wheel well liners so they won't be intrusive). Overall the usual stuff every manufacturer...

There will still be lights in the quarter panels like the concepts, but they will have a bezel around them to keep the elements out and to avoid alignment issues. They look virtually identical to the concept otherwise. The hood tie-downs might not make it either. Lots of debate around snow...

Just so you know, there is no "Scout" script font set. Only the logo itself.

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

I should qualify my other answer to say the way they are lit on the concept may not make it to the production version.

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

To do a shot like the one above requires shooting multiple shots (without lights exposing for the car, without lights exposing for the background, then with just brake lights, another with just side lights, another with front lights, etc., etc). Then all those photos are layered into one image...

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

No. The white one in Germany is one of the very earliest full concept builds. There are a number of changes since then.

Nope. Training board brought in from an external vendor for training purposes. Just generic paint samples. :D

Before any questions come up, these are just Audi body-in-white chassis that the training teams can use as a reference. As soon as we are stamping Scout sheetmetal, these will get swapped out. :D

Door handle lights aren't likely going to make production. Let's see what happens there. Yes, this is a preview of our concept offroad bumpers front and rear. They are made of metal, are modular (meaning the corners are removable and replaceable) and the front features an integrated winch. The...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

The engine and genset are between the frame rails, right behind the rear axle. The fuel tank in the Traveler is under the rear seat.

I won’t be able to make this one as I will be winging back from LA. The other Jamie will be there. He’s only half as cool… 😎
