  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

if only 'don't be an a-hole' actually worked, we wouldn't need a lot of rules and engineering controls but, unfortunately, here we are

    exterior sound notifications?

On the way in to work this morning, we were stuck in traffic while several fire trucks and state troopers filtered their way through. Every time, it was so hard to hear them coming because the car is so soundproof. Is there a way to set some sort of sensor that would give an on-screen...

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

I also want to know when the lights are on (not just when the brights are on). I don't always trust the auto lights to be on when i think they should be. And I want to know if my tail lights are on also - some sort of way to check from inside. I know I've mentioned it before, but I see so many...

and preferably adjustable sensitivity. My idea of when it needs to swipe might be different than the programmers/engineers and it will drive me crazy if I have to keep poking it when it should be automatic!

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

but it is strange. Why would those places be reporting random numbers when Scout has said what it will be?

    Scout Color Poll #1

I wanted to see what the Rallye stripes would look like if they were a little more prominent. The top is the actual red version. The other two are my adjusted versions. Please be kind - my ancient photoshop finally died and I did this in a notes app with a gray highlighter pen.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

that's what I was wondering - I didn't know if it would be able to handle the change easily or not. Oh well. Good to know though! Thanks!

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I'm ok with what they are offering now - I was just thinking that might be helpful info for the people who are wishing there was more range.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

as someone who doesn't really know much of anything about how the batteries in the cars go, I was wondering - if they are able to develop an improved-distance battery that has the same dimensions as the batteries currently used, would it be possible to swap them to improve the car's range or...

    Heated cup holder

if the soda has to be in the cooler to stay cold, I can't easily (or at all?) drink it while I am driving. I tend to bring a soda bottle from home and drink it slowly. It would be great if it stayed cold the whole time.
