  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Scout Production Number Badge

Agree 100%. Def no badging like that inside the cabin for me, thank you. The cleaner the surfaces (and more understated) the better for any truck, that will surely need lots of cleaning too. Inside the door frame or frunk? Sure, go nuts.

    R2 Launch Watch

Didn't happen in my truck. Kids broke one (likely kicked the vent putting their feet up on the dash if I know them) in another car! They are well-protected in the R1T actually.

    R2 Launch Watch

Ditto - I do the same thing if I need to fiddle around with anything in the truck, and typically I'm not fiddling around with anything super distracting while driving, so its a non-issue. My eyes spend way more time wandering around outside the truck, than they do on the U/I screen! I'm a fan...

    Delivery Options

By the time I took delivery of my R1T (in my driveway, which was awesome), I had already watched so many videos that all I needed was to get my phone set up. I took all the keys and went for a short drive with the crew then kicked them out. No knock, as I had literally been waiting for years...

    R2 Launch Watch

To be fair - they aren't buried - you can reach them when on any infotainment screen in the U/I: 1 tap from top Nav bar when you hit it your profile to reach both mirror and steering wheel - then adjust with steering wheel scrolls 1 tap from bottom Nav bar for all HVAC controls. Maybe you were...

Right - its not always the same buyer. Sometimes it is and sometimes they have some deals though.

    R2 Launch Watch

If they have pre-built inventory, they will def try to sell it (ahead of building R2's) from the Rivian "R1 Shop". Gotta move that inventory.

Dash Rail with USB C ports

There is literally nothing more annoying to me than anything tethered, corded or hanging in my line of sight. Clear dash or bust for me! LOL.

What If the Harvester Shed 1,000 lbs and Got Better? The Case for LTO + EA211-ERV

This is a good sign! It means you are actually human (and not an agent of AI trolling humanoid life forms on a Scout forum 🤖). 😁

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

Yes, and even if charging were more expensive for me, I also think about the experience of driving all day as a completely separate factor (in my own personal equation)... Even if my charging stops turn out to be longer than fuel stops, I much PREFER to drive my R1T. Its just not even a...

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

I own a 2022 Rivian R1T Quad Motor Launch Edition with a Large Pack battery. I have yet to experience a broken RAN charger since 2022. But, I also charge mostly at home for peanuts compared to GAS (or, I can charge for FREE at work). The math is pretty simple. 5 hours of driving at an AVG of...

What If the Harvester Shed 1,000 lbs and Got Better? The Case for LTO + EA211-ERV

2 thoughts: #1: AI is taking over the world and can be scary at times, especially if you don't know what to look for #2: Designing the Scout for an edge case was never an explicit goal 1 more thought: 💯

    Scout delayed??

Are you a Coal or are you a Horse? Literally just popped up.

    Scout delayed??

Right, but imagine what happened when people stopped riding on horseback to the saloon. They didn't just disappear all at once, and a lot of other new businesses popped up.
