  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Carplay unconfirmed?!

That's the issue we face here at my house digital works 90% of the time 70% if it needs a pin, MyQ app directly works 100% of the time unless its fallen out of the plug (I need to replace it) but MyQ is only partnered with a few car brands so we need the Meross/homekit/Google stuff. on the other...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

"things have been pushed back" followed by "rumor has it" fantastic way to spread misinformation

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I opened youtube to this video, it's not bad, and has some funny bits, but the comments are full of "bikes and public transit"

    Carplay unconfirmed?!

Next week, I might take a break from my iPhone. While I was preparing for this, I realized I don't have a backup solution for my garage door. I use HomeKit through CarPlay to open and close my garage door since the Bolt doesn't have a Home button built in like our other cars, but they barely...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

This is a forum for everyone to discuss their experiences and opinions, and while it sounds like you’re a good fit with EREV I feel the quoted line here is a bit harsh. I have seen what we say, and realize it can seem like we’re saying BEV is for everyone, but the reality is there are many...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

This is something I have been curious about on scouts and it is with the wireless phone chargers. Will there be ventilated? My Bolt has a wireless phone charger with a little ventilation set up, but it has two glaring flaws. The first is that it relies on the HVAC to be on in order to put any...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

I know but there’s a rattle I can’t stand. Personally, I would prefer something more similar to the Honda Ridgeline, or Rivian or even the cyber truck with the spare tire in a hole in the bed that you can remove and use as a cooler for whatever other storage purposes you may have

    Scout Patents

I saw them this morning but was to tired to remember anything, not it’s just showing unauthorized

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

I think we should just replace the pedestrian warning sound with a button that Blair‘s truck horn and I think that’ll get them to move 😁

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Depending on where you spend time proximity to a building and friendliness with the owners or managers have said building can sometimes allow you to charge via L1 or 2 depending on outlets and your portable, but that does heavily depend on more factors. Though it’s not impossible as it’s...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

I also never liked the little hanger under the body of a vehicle when you take the spare off, so I’m hoping that the on the Terra we can option a spare, just not on the vehicle

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

Experience from my EV as someone who has the unfortunate of spending a lot of time in various parking lot most pedestrians don’t care when they hear the sound or they’re just to oblivious to hear it unless it’s the sound of a straight pipe truck. However, there have also been many people that...

Concern about the complexity and cost of repairs/maintenance for EREV

BEV will be entering a market with competition, mainly from GM with; hummer, Sierra, and Silverado, but also people will cross shop with Rivian even though it’s a midsize truck, ford has bowed out of the EV truck market for now. There might be other EREVs by the time time the harvester makes it...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

My personal experience underbody spares suck. I’ve had them destroyed or eaten way over miles of driving and by the time I need it, it’s become useless or incredibly dangerous. I would rather keep the spare at home and just bring it with when going adventuring, but that’s my experience

    Scout Color Poll #1

If the outer edge of the lower curve of the S met with the circle I would like it more because it looks like the S could square off instead of curved that makes any sense

    Scout Color Poll #1

I feel like the S would look good standing alone , but the points that run off to the right would need to to round out in reasonable way

    Scout Color Poll #1

Could it be the number of edge contacts that the S makes with the hexagon itself, breaking the hexagon into multiple parts for the outer color to bleed through? Or from looking at the design on the patch, maybe it’s the hard cut on the lower left of the S since for me looking at it. It looks a...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Yeah the old scouts had International Harvester “IH” as the brand badge, and the Scout script was more just a name plate. Now Scout is the brand and needs to sit alongside the big Blue ovals, Bowties, Ram heads, and Compasses

    Scout Color Poll #1

It appears white on the my iPhone and I think that the hexagon looks a little cleaner in white, but the S design is perfect, looks clean in Script from with the other letters and stands alone as logo in a pretty creative way

    Scout Color Poll #1

Maybe that’s because you’re just seeing as an S and not a river through the hills or whatever it’s sort of look like
