Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     Completely valid argument, and you're right. Slate has never claimed to be anything but practical and fun. If you want a full size truck...go get one.

    Regarding the sunroof lighting. It looks really good but I dont see that making it to production. I feel like there would be too much light reflection on the glass at night and could be distracting at times.

    A run about is probably one of the most perfect ways to describe the Slate. I think it will be a cool little cruiser/commuter and there will probably be a lot of trucks with bug company names on them lol
