  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    R2 Launch Watch

Awesome to hear the Gen 1 is still getting on, and the fact that its gotten better with age is strong testament to what Rivian has been able to achieve in the EV space in such a short amount of time. Interestingly I can same the same for my Gen 2 even after having it a year already. However, I...

    R2 Launch Watch

Curious to know what your plans were? I have a R2 reservation also, and depending on how early my number gets called I was thinking of doing exactly this.

New Scout Video: Forging the Future - The Sound Of Scout

Personally, I think this would be a huge miss if they did it color specific. Actually what I would like is something like Genesis and Lucid have where you can go into the UI and select an environment. I experienced this in a Genesis rental car I had once and it was surprising how enjoyable it...

New Scout Video: Forging the Future - The Sound Of Scout

I would think the same, but now that I think about it, we can't do that with our current trucks.

New Scout Video: Forging the Future - The Sound Of Scout

Ok my curiosity has peaked. Is it possible Jaime to get rusted squeaky door hinge sounds piped in every time we open the doors? :ROFLMAO: Obviously I'm just joking but you do bring up a good point about not necessarily liking every sound they put into the UI, so hopefully and almost assuredly...

New Scout Video: Forging the Future - The Sound Of Scout

They had me right from the original "blinker" sound

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

My recommendation for custom lock sound for SM would be the primal scream of a Bald Eagle. 🦅

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

According to Jamie's post we have already seen the production models if they are virtually identical to the concepts. 😉

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Well the load floor is quite high, but it will be really nice to not have to dunk under the tailgate while loading. It's a W for me.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Completely valid argument, and you're right. Slate has never claimed to be anything but practical and fun. If you want a full size truck...go get one.

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Thanks Cyure! Ok so there is quite a bit of height to the load floor but the drop tail gate should help to support ramps or accessories if there are any height challenges that come up. But even better than that it looks like there is no step in the load floor like the current LC has, so thats...

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Regarding the sunroof lighting. It looks really good but I dont see that making it to production. I feel like there would be too much light reflection on the glass at night and could be distracting at times.

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Yep leg room is definitely going to be class leading from the looks of it, and can we also talk about the the size of the bottom of the rear seat. Looks like it could be quite the plushy ride back there lol! Do you have any photos from the rear showing the load floor height by any chance?

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

On the bright side it does look like there is going to be amazing legroom! Curious though have you seen any of the concepts in person?

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Great factory update Jaime, and its so awesome to see the training center is nearly ready! But I got to say the stepped rear floor of this Traveler is quite interesting looking. One concern I have immediately is the height of the load floor, (much like the new land cruiser hybrid pictured...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

A run about is probably one of the most perfect ways to describe the Slate. I think it will be a cool little cruiser/commuter and there will probably be a lot of trucks with bug company names on them lol

    Scout delayed??

This is the spec I'm planning on going with so I'm happy, but I do hope the additional models are close behind for everyone else.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Actually I keep going back and forth on this. Slate is saying their truck will be pretty capable thought but I know it wont come close to what the Rivian is capable of, so unless I plan to change my off-roading preference I guess I need to keep it until the Scout is ready. But seriously, the...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

This was a good read. In fact, it has me thinking of changing things up for a bit. Having been a Rivian R1T Standard Range owner for the past, year (and a Tesla Model 3 for 3 years prior) I've realized that my situation is perfect for EV ownership. I have a home charger that handles 99% of my...

Curious. Do you have an R1T still and are you going with a Terra or Traveler? BEV or EREV?
