  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Most Improbable or Impossible Scout Motors Special Edition?

Hard pass on the Truk Nutz edition Scout.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

Another "similar" implementation (on 4 wheels, or tracks for that matter) is in a Piston Bully, Skid Steer or Bobcat... Most fun you will ever have doing 360's while "working"... Drive one side forward, while pulling the second side backwards.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

Ah yes, harkens back to the Quad Motor Rivian Tank Turn... I think they nixxed it because Rivian was concerned that too many owners would be blasting tank turns on golf courses and lawns. Also a bad look to tear everything up out in the wild, but a very cool feature. Maybe it could be enabled as...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I also forgot to add - American Made - American company... Love that Rivian and Scout are US companies with US factories. ??

Enough space for two mountain bikes inside Traveler with seats down

This the the RIGd Supply RambleSwing on a Bronco: Kuat and others make them too:

Enough space for two mountain bikes inside Traveler with seats down

I would agree that loading MTB's on a roof is the worst. Not to mention aerodynamics on road while heading to to trail-head. That specific edge-case may not be a real problem for Scout to tackle with its interior design though. There are already options/solutions that exist for this (and...

CR New Car Brands Reliability / Scout Projected Reliability?

Yes. My point was that there are simply way fewer owners of new vehicles that have only recently started production, and by that fact alone, you are inherently going to need to work through service & support issues for a first model year anything - but particularly as an entirely new OEM that is...

CR New Car Brands Reliability / Scout Projected Reliability?

Smaller sample sizes with new vehicles, with new owners that have seemingly bigger mouths when things go sideways. LOL.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Here are a few things that landed me in a R1T Launch Edition, FWIW: 1. I had always been a truck owner, and appreciated a trucks specific capabilities (haul, tow, go off-road, or over-sand). 2. I knew an EV truck was coming, and started following Rivian early - appreciated their messaging &...

CR New Car Brands Reliability / Scout Projected Reliability?

From my experience "reliability" in a survey is a very big bucket to throw a whole bunch of complaints into. EV's are inherently more reliable mechanically, since there is less that can go wrong, and there is less to service. However, since many of the EV's (my own included) are still...

Love bench seat, but it needs to fold down.

I think it is OK for the top to have a slot or space to place your phone (or 2), and to have 2 cup holders. Everything else should go underneath and have lids or good enclosures (to your point). That Silverado one I posted also lifted up to reveal a deep storage bin, but yes, $hit would fly all...

    Tailgate paint option

Looks like it is already off-roadin'... Very nice.

CR New Car Brands Reliability / Scout Projected Reliability?

Agreed - By far and away the least-biased source I can find for reviews, AND they do a phenomenal job with EV reviews and testing, in particular. Their methodology is second to none, but I also love that they have made interpreting their reports easy and their scoring methodology is simple...

CR New Car Brands Reliability / Scout Projected Reliability?

I would echo that 100% - And as a counterpoint, Rivian has the HIGHEST satisfaction score below, with the highest percentage of respondents also indicating that they would buy a Rivian again. ? In terms of reviews, and FWIW, I find Edmunds to be by far the most accurate and unbiased source. YMMV.

    Ram Bait and Switch...

    You're getting one?

    Camper Shell

YES! I love all of this (its pretty much what GFC did with the Rivian), BUT I hope Scout doesn't tackle it... This is a job for the aftermarket.

    Instrument Cluster

This is over a year old and there have been updates since (and of course there will be lots of changes and new stuff that Scout & Rivian will collaborate on, but this should give you an idea of what sort of interface you might expect to see. It is really good:

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

I gotta say, I find it a little sad that all we have up here in the NE are crappy gas stations with mobile marts and 'Dunks, or we go to the Cumbies. Just really no comparison to the Sheetz's or the WaWa's of the world. Even a Maplefields or Caseys can't stack up!

Love bench seat, but it needs to fold down.

Scout seems to be offering us the best of both world's with either a bench + flip-up, OR a 2 bucket seat config with a fixed console. I'm sure whatever folding console option there is will also serve as a great arm rest when folded down (for the driver's right arm or the passenger's left)... My...
