  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    The Ward's auto podcast discussion

After listing to the Ward's Auto podcast with Mr. Keogh I have a few thoughts. Words on a screen often come across as significantly more aggressive than intended. I'm offering a mild critique. This is not an attack or castigation nor am I looking to censure anyone. Quite the opposite, I have a...

Jeep's Design Leader heads to Scout Motors

I have a 2019 ram 2500 and a 2019 JLUR. If those are on his resume I have a lot of confidence he will honor the scout properly while making a comfortable interior with modern amenities. Welcome Mr. Benjamin!

    Removable top is a must

Mounting is a challenge. Putting holes in the top to pass hardware through has a high potential of leaks and rips. There is a solution. It's a very creative solution for those wanting a soft top, just not my cup of tea...

    Removable top is a must

Why not have the roof panels set directly on the roll protection? It would give the option for side panels removed like the Jeep 1-touch sky top, and the option to remove the roof panel entirely. This would allow the load from the rooftop accessories to pass through to the roll protection. It...

    Scout Design Team Feedback V1

Since you said today and there's only a few responses, I'll toss in some more thoughts. Ability to be serviced and upgraded with tools available to skilled enthusiasts. Think about aftermarket possibly throughout. Make it reasonable to customize, lift and add strength to the drivetrain...

    Second Scout Teaser Image Released

Is there a rear teaser yet? I'm no where near as talented as RubiReady with Photoshop, but to me this screams modern scout. I'm partial to the 80s, but I think something like this combines design cues from each. I think I'd be slightly disappointed if it takes all of its styling from the...

    Removable top is a must

Yes. My wife's Rubicon has the swing out gate and It's an inconvenience often. Far more so than our previous Wranglers have been. Often we need to pull the jeep forward to load it up if someone parks behind us at a store. With the YJ and TJ it wasn't so bad because they were so small. You...

    A Tall Order

I'd have no faith in VWAG doing this right if it weren't for the recent success of Ford's Bronco. It's proven that you can have a capable off-roader with a removable top and doors that is also civilized enough for the average consumer who will never put it in 4wd. VWAG holds a lot of premium...

    Color Wishlist

My wife loves Bikini Pearl. When she was getting frustrated with grad school she'd go to the jeep website and "build" her jeep. After she graduated she pushed to get my truck so we could get the Scout home. the $600 Chevy truck I kept on the road for 8 years once again was having problems and...

    What Are You Driving Now?

My daily is a 2019 Ram 2500. My wife's is a 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Our sporty and fun car is a 2011 Hyundai Genesis coupe. It's far more fun than most people would think. 2 liter turbo, six speed, rear wheel drive and nimble. I have two project scout 80's as well.

    Color Wishlist

Please don't let them take the route of white, black, silver, light gray, medium gray, dark gray, darker gray, greenish gray, blueish gray, and a red that's somehow just as boring. ?? Our Wrangler is Bikini Pearl. The color doesn't photograph well, the green pearl washes out. It is incredible...

will do! It's in my shop waiting for brake lines to be installed. I've been sidetracked a few months with a camper renovation. Hopefully this one will be moving under it's own power by the spring. Here's a short clip of the first time it fired in 17 years.

    Second Scout Teaser Image Released

I like the detail in the hood, it's a great tribute to the original. The roof rack tells me the roof is not removable, which is a huge concern. I think that style roof rack is far too plain for a rugged off-roader. If there will be a roof rack it should be more stout looking with easy...

Are there ways to be involved?

Are there any opportunities for enthusiasts to be a part of the team without full-time employment? As a loyal Scout enthusiast, I would absolutely love to be involved, even if in a limited capacity. My qualifications as an Architectural Designer of factory-built structures fail to fit any...

    Removable top is a must

Scout Motors, please learn from Toyota's failure with the FJ cruiser. It was an exceptionally capable and good-looking vehicle from a legendary brand that was marginally received at best. The FJ absolutely should have taken a larger bite out of the Wrangler's sales numbers and should still be in...

    1961 Scout 80

TLDR; guy is obsessed with his rusty hunk of iron for nearly two decades and depreciates his nice neighborhood by dragging it home. You can relate? Good. Read on. Back in 2001 I learned about rock crawling. I was just out of school, living with my parents, not making much money but had to have...
