  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Yep. The lab I worked at until 2019 was using GCs from the early 90s, Windows 3.1, Pentium 486s, and dot matrix printers. And we were the best lab in the country for what we did.

That simultaneously hurts my heart and makes me go “whew! Dodged!”

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

We have 5 connected buildings with 5 floors each, most of which have boxes, and one other building with one box. I’ve found giant monitors, helium purifiers, scanners, AirPods, keyboards/mice, ergonomic equipment, home/kitchen electronics - all kinds of things. Most of it either works or is...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I know that feeling so much. We have “magic boxes” here on each floor where people put electronics and other office stuff that they don’t want or that doesn’t work anymore and it’s so hard to not gather up everything interesting. My office is more crowded than most despite my attempts to resist.

I have a Flex too! Here’s an outline I did of the two. Hope it helps!

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

it will probably be a few weeks before they're done. I'm out of time for this weekend and headed out of town for a week next weekend. But I think I have it all figured out now (knock on wood - every time I say that, things prove me wrong)

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I'll take a turn! It's neither car related nor in my garage (only have a carport here) but I'm building cabinets in my daughter's bedroom. Got more complicated than expected because the amount of floor space in there was a couple of inches too short to lay the sections down and assemble them...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

yep - unfortunately those skills can be used on bad regulations too. It is a shame to deny people help they need, military or not! I have a friend who is appealing their disability denial - apparently having spinal dislocations causing spontaneous temporary partial paralysis doesn't mean you...

that's why writing regulations is such a skill. You have to be able to think of every way the rules lawyers will try to get around it. It's not as easy as some people think and that is why the CFR is so freaking huge. People laugh about some "simple" rules being so many pages long but this is...

Site question that I don’t know where to post

If you click on 'registry' and then 'new items' it will show you the ones you haven't looked at. Once you have looked at everyone's cars, the number will go away

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

Same!! I loved the little mini coopers and all the colors they came in and the different color tops. It was so cool and fun to see. But I couldn’t fit everything I needed to in them. When I saw the red Flex with the white roof my first thought was “it’s a mini cooper on steroids!” I had to have it

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I can read much faster than I can hear. I have auditory processing issues so my brain registers what’s being said about a half second or so too late so after a while, it gives up 😂 I loved my classes that were asynchronous because I could rewind as often as I needed but text was still so much...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

When I was a kid I wanted a Suzuki Sidekick or Samurai so bad and my dad said absolutely not. They definitely earned the nicknames Sideflip and Somersault

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

oh! I definitely didn't mean you were confrontational- it was the original statement by rfk and his change to "accommodate the sensitive" folks that were confrontational. I was just trying to bring up what he was saying without all the emotions he put in it so that it could be addressed. I...

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

I wasn't expecting them to repeatedly modify the concept vehicles to match production either. I was just trying to restate what I thought he was saying in a less confrontational manner. Seems like there was concern over whether the changes to the production models are in the 15% that already...

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

I think his unfortunately phrased concern was about this part The revamp of the models are unfortunately not reflective of the production models. There are certain changes in the production models that would be too costly to show in these models. It makes it sound like there have been...

I think it is really cute but overpriced. The first picture reminds me of the Suzuki Sidekicks (which I absolutely don't see a "sultry detective" driving - the wind will mess up their hair!)
