  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

I'd really like to see what they expect the base model to look like so that people can stop speculating. I doubt that helps drum up much excitement for the brand though. We've seen offroad styling on both concepts. It would be a good balance to show a more street focused version. Maybe what...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

As mentioned already, it really depends on what exactly comes on the $60k Scout. If they manage to deliver everything shown on the concept plus the advertised range, they will have the hottest selling vehicle in the market. I don't expect that though. I hope they can pull off a $60k model that...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Now do width. Height too while you're at it.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Cool. Wrangler isn't an EV though. Neither is the Bronco. F-150 and Silverado has EV variants so we're getting closer. Ramcharger continues to get delayed because they just can't figure out the technology. Why? Because it isn't available in a comparable personal vehicle yet (locomotives aren't...

Bigger Gas Tank - 15 Gallons is Abysmal

I don't believe 500 miles would be gas and go for another 500 since the battery and gas would both be depleted. The question is going to be whether the vehicle will drive with a completely depleted battery. That would only allow driving another 350 (maybe less?) miles after filling up.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

All of this. Tesla apparently did a horrible job with the cut off of the Model Y. I can always tell when one is coming opposite direction. Worse yet is the retrofit light on the older USPS delivery vehicles. Those damn things could blind an airplane. I love the headlights on my 16 Grand...

    What age group are you?

43 here so I'll move up a bracket before delivery. I have a July birthday and am hoping my Traveler may be in my driveway right about my 46th.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I had a thought this morning while reading about the supplier park that is being built along side the production facility. My plan for my next vehicle is to use a dedicated shop to perform a full ceramic coat of the vehicle. This will be more expensive, but also better quality, than whatever...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I'd argue Jeep has a market for the Wagoneer S, had they executed it well. I love my Wrangler for it's styling and it's off road ability. I love putting the top down and taking the doors off. I bought it 19 years ago when I was 24 and now at 43, I still smile driving it. I also love my Grand...

    Financing Options

Interest rate is something that I'm concerned about also. I am putting a bit away here and there to help finance as little as possible, but with my expected price of around $80k +, I highly doubt I'll be able to pay cash for my Traveler. I've only bought 3 vehicles in my life and all 3 were...

    A Gift From Scout Motors

I have not received the email yet. I'm pretty good about checking my spam folder and haven't noticed anything there either. Last week, after this thread started, I logged in to check my account. My address was already present from when I made my reservation. I did not get a prompt to add it...

    Jeep Recon

Meh. I offroad my Jeep. I take my doors off. Sometimes I offroad my Jeep with the doors off.

    Ev Delay

Another thought, wouldn't the spare tire have an effect as well? A 35 inch tire plus the carrier would probably weigh 100+ pounds and it sits further back than the harvester would.

Two years ago when I was struggling to get through that year's turkey, I honestly considered getting the garden loppers

Get some good quality shears. I had done plenty of chickens and never had a problem, but damn was it hard to cut through those turkey bones 😂

Depends on temperature. I have heat defectors in so there is no direct heat cooking the bottom of the turkey. My grill essentially works like an oven in that set up. The picture I posted was a 16 pound turkey. At 350-400, it took 2 hours. I chose that temp for crispier skin vs lower temp for...

    Ev Delay

How would a weight distribution hitch change this? I have a 2016 Grand Cherokee, which has a 6000 pound tow rating. Above a certain trailer weight (I forget the exact number, but let's say 4000), I have to use a weight distribution hitch. Could Scout make the same requirement in order to get the...

    Thanksgiving Recipes

That looks really good. I can't help much with recipes. I'm in charge of the turkey and guests bring the sides and desserts. For the turkey, I spatchcock and then brine overnight. Lump charcoal with apple and pecan wood chunks cooked at 350-400. Turns out great.
