  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

How many highway miles you get? 70 MPH. You can see from the video above, the only one that pulls it off is the SEV long range. The Rivian is close though. Only thing is we aren't going to drive to 0%.. So it's a bit unrealistic in that sense. That’s an important factor in my buying decision. I...

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

How many miles you get? I have heard that Rivian does a better job on not misleading the range.

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

It's not just Tesla. Show me one EV besides the SEV that achieves it rated range (let alone highway speeds).

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

This is what I am trying to impart ;p *Scout has the oppertunity to not be a Tesla. They can do what GM did and actually surpass even what they said it could do. (Most of those EPA ratings are at slower speeds which are unrealistic)

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

It would still be interesting to see how they all stack up for the long range tests (I'd imagine the Silverado might pull ahead) I appreciate how the SEV exceeds GM's claimed performance. Most EV manufacturers boast about 300-mile ranges, but in real-world driving, they fall short. GM broke the...

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

I'd be sweating trying to stretch 200 miles out of my Tesla (even though it was rated for around 320 miles EPA). I drove it everywhere—mixed city, back roads, highways. I'm pretty concerned about how the Scout Terra will actually perform and handle on the road. My previous RAV4 Hybrid felt like...

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

You used to be a able to have control over the driving sound's. I try to tell people about fart noises but it's not received well. ;x

Scout Traveler:: Electric Auto-Folding Side Mirrors

Have this on Tesla And lightning and couldn't agree more especially for larger vehicles.

Battery only or harvester.. starting to rethink it.

I've switched from a Tesla to a Ford F-150 Lightning. I miss the superior software experience and smoother ride quality of the Tesla, but I really appreciate a few standout features on the Lightning—like its full-size proportions, onboard power outlets, and the ability to illuminate the area...

    Custom External Sounds

I think the thing though is Scout can have its own sounds but allow the ability to upload custom sounds. That's what Tesla did and made it great. And honestly, that's why they're the leader in the industry is thinking outside the box and pretty much every imaginable aspect. I think rivian is a...

    Custom External Sounds

How bout we customize what we want? Having custom lock sounds, driving sounds is what made Tesla great. Considering we are here because Scout is making EV and EREV's.

I was surprised the by the lack of space in the Cybertruck's frunk but here's to hoping for the Terra.

    Frunk

Sure they can. It's the same size as the Lightning, at least that's what they point out.

The frunk could be bigger.. could be wrong but I don't think they're making the most out of the space there. I mean look at this thing.. That's not a small case.

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

    1. Automatic Perimeter Lighting I didn’t even know this feature existed until I bought the Lightning, but now I can’t live without it. When you walk toward the truck, it senses you and lights up the entire perimeter. It’s incredibly practical — you can see where you’re stepping, avoid rocks or...
