  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

For those who are wondering what motor Goldie’s got it’s the 345. I think the drives side valve cover has a bad seal because there is a ton of build up of oil/grease on the driver side of the frame. Gotta scrape all of that off this weekend and possibly change that gasket. Also gonna do a quick...

Said this in another thread earlier: “The hood decided it no longer wanted to open, so I had to go underneath with a stick and lots of PB Blaster to get the latch to unlock.” Once again this will be the go to thread for all my Scout updates and postings. 😀

I am putting in a lot of blood and elbow grease to get it going! My girlfriend is actually gonna help me detail it and get it looking nice this weekend! I will post pictures of that. I will also be posting progress on my IG and YouTube.

Got these rims and tires off marketplace for Goldie. Also I was not planning on buying this Scout so it might be a while until I can get everything done with it. I am 21 after all and saving for a ring and house so don’t got that much money to put into it so if it takes awhile to update that’s why.

Goldie: The original paint on this Scout is gold with a light tan interior, so I felt like the name was a perfect fit. Bluey: My nickname has always been Bluey, and when my dad and I decided on the Heritage Blue color, I thought it fit really well. Comanche: It’s a Scout Comanche, and I...

Okay, I’m updating this thread a bit. Going forward, I’ll be posting updates on the Gold Scout II that I just got, along with my other Scouts. That way, all updates and photos will be in one place instead of having multiple threads for different Scouts. ‘72 Scout II (Goldie) Current project...

Well, I had some fun this morning! The hood decided it no longer wanted to open, so I had to go underneath with a stick and lots of PB Blaster to get the latch to unlock. @Jamie@ScoutMotors I hope the front trunks are a lot easier to open on the new Traveler and Terra than they are on these! 😂

I’ve got an extra set of bronze wheels but those aren’t the ones I am putting on this. I’m putting on some white wagon wheels.

So this Scout originally came out of Montana. It was a guys deer hunting rig and what I was told he would take this Scout hunting and put the deer in the front basket. I am planning on keeping it on for now.

I know but it was a good deal that I couldn’t pass on! Not doing any restoration on this one. She runs and drives! All I’m doing is a tune-up, a good wash, and a lot of driving. 😀
