  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

How would you build your Scout?

It would need a round porthole, star or crescent moon window on the side. And it would absolutely require shag on the floor and possibly the walls.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I am not sure I would even ride in one much less buy one.

A Lincoln branded off-roader should also be a non removable top vehicle. They may even want to look abroad to the Ranger based Everest as a platform.

This will fail if that’s the direction they go. That’s not a G Wagen competitor.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I’m really not trying to come off as an EV zealot. I’m genuinely interested in your answers. This is a forum after all. The point being we can all discuss viewpoints and opinions. It sounds like you are a perfect Harvester candidate. I think it’s great because if EV was the only option I...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I’m a native South Carolinian. I can and have done all things in that song minus Beechnut.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Indeed, ironically as it may seem I fide people friendlier in New England than I do in South Carolina. 🙃

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Agreed. I hope I didn’t come off as though I’m questioning our colleague’s EREV decision. Just curious about the use case and psychology. It’s a fascinating subject and extremely valuable to understand each other as well as for Scout to glean information.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Nah. The South is not what it used to be and people are not as friendly and welcoming as they once were. That’s all Norman Rockwell America. I find that the 80/20 rule applies. 80% assholes, 20% tolerable.

This question will tell me everything I need to know about you. Modern or Mikes?

That shit is over down here in the USA.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I think you have to ask yourself will you actually do the traveling you’re mentioning. That is often exactly how people buy the thought not the reality. That’s sounds accusatory and it’s not meant to be.

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

I guess that’s the point. But, you’re right it’s like whatever scene in a show or movie that angels appear! Nearly the same sound.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Yeah, is almost like it doesn’t fit in either the hexagon or the circle.

    Scout Color Poll #1

That’s certainly part of it. I did that drawing of the SM in the same lock up as the IH and it just seemed more correct. Heck, if the hexagon were a diamond that would make more sense as it’s in the same family as international trucks. But, I guess Rivian is a diamond logo already.

Better. But I can’t put my finger on what bothers me so much.

    Scout Color Poll #1

The shape of the S and the hexagon. I don’t really care for it in the circle seal patches either. That’s one reason I’ve steered clear of some of the merch. It’s just a different opinion. Don’t skewer me too bad! 😂

It looks better without the hexagon
