  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    What was your first car?

Yeah, not drinking, going the speed limit, wide awake. I had maybe 4-5 seconds to try to get around him. He blew a 1.8 4 hours after the accident.

    What was your first car?

1987 Toyota Forerunner. That baby saved my life. I was coming home from a gig. The highway was dark. There was a sports car parked in the travel lane with its lights off. I hit him at 65mph. We were lucky we both weren’t killed. From then on I got SUV’s up until the Tesla. Another reason to get...

    Standard Bed Utility

Does anyone know the length of the bed when the back seats are down? Curious if I can lay down in it.

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

My wife (in the pics) believes it’s unsanitary. Won’t even discuss it. . . .

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

Welcome to the Forums. Cloth seats would be great, though my wife has very particular views about it.

What are you driving until release?

She’s doing much better, thanks. We now think she may have just slept funny. . . She was in great pain for a couple of days and now, she’s back to her normal self.

What are you driving until release?

She can lay easily. She can’t stand without difficulty, which is good for everyone.

What are you driving until release?

I’ve got a 2021 Tesla Model Y (long range). It was good enough for the missus and I (& Rhona). After EM went cray cray, I started looking elsewhere. So glad I did. . . .

October 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update

It sounds more like service and maintenance. If they sell you a vehicle in a state or area that does not have service facilities, you would be SOL. So they want to keep that heartache to a minimum.

October 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update

What I was told at LAAS was Scout is planning on opening up 14 of those centers around the country at the very opening of the assembly building. Sadly if you don’t live near any of these, your place in cue suffers as the folks near a center will get priority. I may have the year wrong, but by...

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

Stay off of FB and get your info here. There is nothing confusing about the info we get here. Jamie and his team are pretty good about relaying solid info.

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

I agree. All the reps at the auto show were pretty clear about the basics like mileage. Everything we’ve learned here were confirmed there.

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

That was relayed to me. It’s still TBD.

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

And they did, Jamie, to their credit. I guess at an event like that, I was almost expecting to hear something new or presented differently. Other than the tangible things, I didn’t learn much. Although the potential removal of the cabana roof was a bit of a surprise (except being from the...
