  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Website updates

If you all are taking suggestions... All of the interactivity when scrolling is neat, but it can also be frustrating when trying to get specific information. Like on the Traveler page, when I want t look at images or dimensions I have scroll, scroll, scroll a bunch to get to that section. A...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

All this talk about width - it would be nice if the mirrors auto-fold when the car is turned off. I don't know if that's something that exists or is already common in EVs (or even newer ICE cars/trucks)?

Looking forward to being able to play with a configurator & see how much damage I can do right off the bat (cause I did a lot with the R1S - lol). And then of course compare to Scout when that's available.

    FB find of the day

That's what I assumed, it's just sooo teal in the FB post. Very interesting color.

    FB find of the day

What color is that? Looks too green to be either the Terra Blue or the Pacific Mist. And too blue/teal to be Silo Green.

    Center Screen

This was one of the deciding factors when I got my Dart. I also looked at a Mazda 3 (I think), and they had a screen but it was just there - "iPad attached to the dash" is the perfect description. Zero thought or attempt into making it look like it belonged.

Front end lights are still goofy, but I'd be lying if the nerd in me didn't take a second look. Hahaha

Another interesting Ford preview/concept article popped into my feed today: https://www.engadget.com/transportation/evs/ford-shows-off-the-tech-going-into-its-30000-electric-pickup-truck-140000509.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=bluesky

GOOD Went straight to Instagram & made sure to like the post. Hahaha

    FB find of the day

Yes, more color please! That's one of the really nice things about the Scout interiors: the two-tone seats, the plaid, the southwestern-ish details, etc. My current car (2014 Dodge Dart) has a thin light around the dash that glows red - very simple, but breaks up all the black/gray...

    Jamie Vondruska On With ROMR

Have they ever been seen in the same room together? 🤔

Anyone else think Jamie looks like Tony Hawk? Has that been mentioned before? Hahaha

    Jamie Vondruska On With ROMR

I think getting into the process/evolution of things is super cool - concept drawings, music demos, etc. - so it would be rad to see some of the first drawings/builds that are talked about around the 18:30 mark.

January 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Sometimes it's still crazy to me the scope of the site. Like, the renderings obviously make it look big - but then you get shots like this: With the construction vehicles in it for scale and it's just MASSIVE.

    Off-topic stuff…

I'm off-screen, but pretty sure I'm in the Liquor Store Warning. Luckily I keep the home bar well stocked!

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

Whatever it is, I would like to formally request the cut-off date include those reservations made up through Jan. 1. Especially for those who joined the Community in October & lurked around a bit, while they waited for an arbitrary date that felt like it *meant something*. LOL

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

That last image with the front & back ends side-by-side, and the symmetry of them, is dope.

Factory Pick Up - Cost and what does it include?

Yeah, I'm sure my wife would come. As others have said (if not here then in other threads), make a bigger trip out of it - maybe visit Charleston, Columbia, Congaree National Park, etc. Fly in, drive out?

Factory Pick Up - Cost and what does it include?

After reading through all the suggestions, I think I'd like one of the hybrid pick-ups: museum/info walk-through, a factory tour would be rad, an off-road test ride/drive (with a company car), and get me configured with MY Scout. A stop in the Supplier Park to possibly pick up some...
