  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Demo Days as Early Models are Produced

I would have to assume this is already to be planned for Scout. When I had a reservation for a R1T, I was invited to a demo day, and three separate personal test drive events. Zero were close to my home and I attended 2 of the 4 events. I would definitely fly across the country to demo a...

    Spare tire discussion

Agree, the TJ is not a fair comparison with the Traveler. For the Terra, it would mostly be a ranch / farm truck so 33s should be just fine in my opinion. The Traveler though does look good with 35s in the mock ups 😀

Make it easy to precool your Scout and create routines (Mobile Integration)

I have never had cooling seats until 2 days ago. After a simple 2 hour drive in SoCal desert, game changer 😀

    Spare tire discussion

I am good with either size that matches my choice out of the factory. I haven’t decided if this little rig needs 35s as I run just fine in my TJ with 33s. I have also learned that I only want to carry a spare when trailing. For me, any non-trailing day usually means commuting inner city so a tow...

Make it easy to precool your Scout and create routines (Mobile Integration)

Well, at least the app will have the option to turn on climate and adjust the temp settings based on Rivian software. Routines would be a very nice nice-to-have option.

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

I think having a virtual Terra to play around with is a great idea. But why stop at a visualizer. How about an official modern Scout off-road game? 😃

    Bench Seat vs Standard

Exactly, I’ve been married more than 3 decades and have fond memories of my wife sitting right next to me in our ‘85 F250. I’m sure the designers will deliver a fold down center console within the seat design, but I would even take a bench seat without the modern convenience. Doesn’t anyone miss...

    Old school bench please ;-).

    Tow range

I made similar calculations for the pure towing with the BEV. I still plan to stay with full electric as I am comfortable for a few years towing with EVs and generally no range anxiety. But similar to yours, I calculated a range of 135 miles for the typical terrain in my area of rural Southern...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I reserved last year a Terra, then have also reserved a Traveler this year.
