  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What would you be willing to pay for a paint color?

I think I could be happy with the standard/no additional cost colors, whatever they may be. After seeing all the Gemini renders and heritage Scout pictures posted on this forum I've determined that as soon as Rallye or other stripe graphics are added to the side, I find there are so many colors...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

InsideEVs posted a follow-up video to this article on YouTube this morning. From their four minute discussion on what they learned from their interview with Uncle Scotty, I had Gemini summarize what they said they got out of it below for those who prefer reading recaps over listening. I do...

    Scout Badges/Patches

I know a lot of people put patches on their headliners for places they have been or things they are interested in and I like the idea of Scout badges in the vein of boy/girl scouts merit badges. Scout could easily come up with merit/demerit badges that commemorate firsts in your own...

January 2026 Scout Production Center Update

It looks like the January Production Center blog post was revised to list 350 miles of range for the all-electric Scouts again. The footnotes were also updated to match the appropriate vehicle types.

Right, kind of like the old FJ Cruiser off-road mirror lights

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

For Travelers optioned with the rear tire carrier, I'd like to see what the potential filler panel would look like on one of the Traveler siblings with the rear tire carrier removed

    Ev Delay

Jamie has said, "More to come as we get closer to launch" in another thread addressing this topic. We'll have to wait and see if his post comes true over the next two years.

    Ranking current known colors

I might be able to join the Pacific Mist crowd if it were paired with white accents instead of black, similar to dearbulls' robins egg blue comment. Otherwise it's Silo Green for me based on the four colors we have actually seen.

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

Cal could be the face of the "Big Dumper" edition featuring deep, adjustable seat bolstering for those with their own big dumpers. It could also have a big bumper for those big thumpers you might accidentally get your Scout mixed up in. And on a serious note, yes to direct to consumer...

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

I was wondering earlier this week if Scout Motors would jump on the wagon of gloss paint with no metallic flake that seems to be all the rage in the automotive industry recently, and then they go all-in on metallic flake with Silo... and I love it!

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

These pictures and this thread have me excited. I just wanted to share my thoughts: I'm loving the "Clutch" 18 inch steelies look of the wheels, even if they wind up actually being alloys if they go into production. I think 18 inch wheels would still look great paired 35" tires and would have...

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

I'd like to see interior rear cargo hatch lights to illuminate the the area behind the vehicle when loading or tailgating. I didn't see them on the concept so hoping they show up on the production vehicles.

    Bigger Cup Holders

I had just recently heard how J.D. Power in their customer initial quality survey for 2025 have found that “cupholders being difficult to use” went from being the 7th most problematic issue for new vehicles to the 3rd most reported issue this year. New Quality Survey Reveals Growing Top...

Actual dimensions based on what we configure

The Ineos Grenadier and Quartermaster have a convenient dimension reference diagram next to its off-road controls. Something similar could be cool.
