  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

"If its under 40 degrees turn the defroster on"

Help me decide BEV or EREV

This past summer we did Myrtle Beach -> Philly suburbs. With the kids it took about 12 hours, with stops very centered around "gas" and "clean bathrooms" I know the EV route would have been a bit longer, but I think I'd almost prefer that since the stops wouldn't have been as chaotic and...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I think this was either not available or an option we didn't go for when we got our Volvo, but their remote start app just keeps the last used temperature, so in the winter/summer we need to remember to blast the air on whichever direction before shutting off. Would love the ability to adjust...

Toyota has very consistently driven me away from any of their green vehicles purely based on how ugly they are.

I completely agree with this. I think a lot of people will be surprised to see that once you feature match the Terra and the Slate the price probably isn't that different- and the quality/integration may be worth the difference.

    Snowstorm 2026

We ended up with around 16 inches, would have been more if it didn't change over and turn into ice. Which also made me realize I am absolutely hoping the Traveler will allow me to install a plow on the front! We have a long ass driveway and the snowblower does mostly a good job, but my back...

100% same here. I'm keeping my reservation until the point of no return and then probably canceling it.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

I've flipped back and forth a lot. I really don't know what makes the most sense for me so I think over time this thread will prove to be very helpful. On one hand, BEV will let me rip the bandaid off. No maintenance or dealing with engine stuff. On the other hand, while infrastructure around...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

For those of us who are regulars on this forum, its never too early to spend an unhealthy amount of time researching something that may or may not be relevant in 2-3 years.

I still go back and forth and change my reservation a few times every other month or so, really cant decide.

We've had lane assist on our various vehicle iterations for well over a decade now. Tesla is shooting itself in the foot (again) over a rough financial year.

I've been gorging myself on ex60 content and it just makes me even more hyped for the Traveler!!!
