  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I was at the dealership getting the tail light fixed. Ended up just being a bulb. Easy peasy. Anyway, there was a 392 MOAB in the showroom. $83,000. They must have lowered the price. I thought those used to be right around $100,000.

That’s what I’m hoping. Then I would have plenty of room on the drivers side and when taking passengers I just back out. SM - we need those mirrors to be able to fold while driving to get into tight spaces. Please and thank you.

She absolutely has window tint. She also has a 10 year new car warranty that was way less expensive since she’s a “Toyota”. We aren’t doing anything that could void that warranty. Toyota can fix her for the $100 deductible for 10 years if anything goes wrong. Also she’s only 1 of 4952 that...

I just saw this article asking if people are going to wait till Lidar is on the R2 to purchase. It made wonder, what kind of things might be available on later model Scouts that the first ones won’t have. https://riviantrackr.com/news/rivian-r2-at-launch-or-wait-for-lidar/

Actually I wish I could park where the Supra is. I could move those trash cans and have about 3 more feet because that part of the garage bumps out. The only issue is that door is 93 inches wide and I mean I would have to be straight on. Now I did used to park the Jeep there but the mirrors...

I know I’m really lucky. I just went and measured and I have about 6 feet on the passenger side. Im golden on that side, see.

It’s 79.9 so yes 80. The 90 inches is the mirrors.

The other thing I know I won’t be able to do is unload stuff out of the back in the garage. Right now I have just enough space to pull in, shut the garage door and I can open the tail gate on the jeep all the way with like 2 or 3 inches to spare. So I can have the door shut when I bring...

But I agree with you it will be tighter walking around it because the whole vehicle is that size, not just the tires.

The way the garage is there’s a two door, some space and then a single door. My plan at the moment is to park it where the Jeep is now. So on the passenger side there’s quite a few feet. The passenger side you will be able to load stuff in and out easily. I do that now with the Jeep if I’m...

This is the first time we have ever had one and then with the basement I don’t have much in the garage. I love it.

I was worried too but measured my Wrangler at its widest piont, which is the tires since I’m running a -12 offset. The Traveler is only 1.5 inches wider. Now it’s 18.5 inches longer with the tire carrier, but I’m really not worried about the length.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Welcome to the community. I actually switched my Traveler reservation from an EREV to a BEV. She will be my first BEV! The Terra BEV guys will be very excited there’s another one of them! Welcome again.

I’m starting by saying this is not political! I have a lung thing and I do not want to get sick. I wear my mask as soon as I walk down the jet way and don’t even have a drink of water on that plane. Take it off after I get off the jetway. Have been doing that for years now and don’t get sick...

I’ve already been thinking which car will go next to the Scout. Luckily we have a 3 car garage so I can play car jenga to make them all fit.
