  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    EREV initial release only?

I’m a contractor and use my truck daily for towing, hauling. So I just want to make sure I can live with one on a daily basis. I remember early on seeing TFLTruck with the Lightning and the towing range going clear down to something like 89 miles. That would just not cut it for me, which is what...

    EREV initial release only?

I’ve wasted $100 before way faster, and on worse things, than that deposit I made :ROFLMAO:

    EREV initial release only?

Someone recently had suggested renting a Lightning for a week or so to get an idea of living with one. I thought that was a great idea, but have had a hard time finding one that wasn’t going to cost a fortune to rent for a week. My reservation is Harvester, but ultimately I may change based on...

    EREV initial release only?

This whole Autopian article is exactly like the hubbub over the towing comment on Jay Leno’s YouTube show. A lot of people all upset and cancelling reservations over a comment by the CEO when all the fine details haven’t been ironed out. Same here with the EV vs EREV timing. We just simply do...

    Google Gemini AI Scout Images

I had a guy working for me years ago who did this. Took a piece of 1x6x12 Cedar tongue and groove (nice expensive board), had cut some light locations in the wrong spot and chucked it across the yard. I had a talk with him about how temper tantrums like that wouldn’t be happening on my job...

Time to get that beach-house started. I mean, the walls are apparently only going to be 5.5’ tall, but you know, gotta save somewhere.

I think it’s one of those fancy, self-driving trailers. Goes with the fancy new truck. Haha

About as close as I could get it. It had the most trouble with trying to attach a trailer. The first attempt it actually attached the trailer to the front of the truck, lol. Got my business logo on there even.

How would you build your Scout?

Yep, no argument from me there. Being able to rib each other usually takes time of getting to know each other.

What will be your Scout's Vanity Plate?

I… might need to steal “RIP AND” lol, I burst out laughing.

What will you typical cargo look like in your Scout?

My typical cargo will be tools, and materials. I’m a contractor, and do a lot of various tasks, so the tools vary, but mostly wood-work. I’m thinking about putting bedside toolboxes on it. I currently have a Diamondback HD on my F-150, which I love… but access to the tools is sometimes a pain.

How would you build your Scout?

Usually not really into the silver, but that’s a really nice version. Clearly this truck is going to look slick in virtually every color and guise we can throw at it.

How would you build your Scout?

I read it as ribbing, but unfortunately so much gets lost in text with no facial, body, or intonation cues.

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

That sounds so fun honestly. I’d probably not own a hi-po version, but Reaper is such a damned cool name to use for a trim level that they just have to do it. Less Halloween-themed I could even picture a logo of a scythe cutting a bunch of wheat in a simple stylized fashion. Keeps with the...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I had a feeling they likely were for ratchet strap purposes. Fantastic!

Scout Concepts in Fort Worth, Texas October 2, 2025

Would absolutely love to go see them, but notice is just too short and too many promises have been made for work the next couple weeks, haha.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Looks nice, what’s the purpose of the holes drilled through every other 2x?
