  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Concepts in New York City September 18-19, 2025

That would probably be the closest it will ever get to me. I'd be tempted to make the drive up.

Thank you. And yes, I am aware of the dimensions. My reservation is for the Traveler.

    Must haves to purchase…

I really don't like the size of modern pick ups. Coworker picked me up in her 150 last week and it felt huge. I don't want to drive something that big. Even the Traveler is bigger than I'd like, but damn do I love the styling. Can't wait to see it in person. It's 230 and the last 30 miles are...

    Must haves to purchase…

I like reading that kind of feedback. And I keep telling myself that the EV can also serve the purpose of home generator. That has a value as well. We lose power occasionally and don't have gas at the house, so no generator like a lot of my neighbors. The thought of plugging my car in to the...

    Must haves to purchase…

I'm fully expecting the way I'll option the Traveler to cost $85k +/- $5k. I priced out a Rivian at one point and my options quickly priced it over $95k. I think what I really wanted was around $105k. Above $85 and I'm definitely out. I'm probably still out at $80k. I just can't wrap my head...

That green is beautiful. What a great color.

    Harvester towing

If, as it's been speculated, the reduction in towing capacity is due to the weight of the harvester over the axle, I really hope they reassess it's location. I love the idea of a frunk, but I'd gladly give it up in order to tow 7k. If it can't tow 6k (my use case), I'll most likely end up BEV.

Im more of a 37" tire guy, are we going to need a lift kit or will these squeeze in?

Some of ya'll talking 37s already and I'm over here hoping that 33s don't look goofy since we're all so used to seeing 35s on the test vehicles. Don't get me wrong, 35s are cool. I have 35s on my 06 Wrangler. If I am going to be doing any trail riding, I'll take the LJ. The extent of the...

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

My biggest reason for wanting Airplay is driving directions. Yes, modern vehicles offer maps and directions in the built in screens, but the user experience is lacking in my experience. Beyond that, I refuse to pay a manufacturer to update the database when I can just get directions on my phone...

Option for no tire on back.

The Chysler Pacifica does not come standard with a spare tire. I couldn't wrap my head around that when we bought ours in 2019, so we ordered ours with a "spare tire kit". It deletes the built in vacuum in the side panel of the cargo area and adds a deflated spare donut and air compressor.

    Rivian CEO Interview

My dad grew up in Bethlehem. When I was little, we'd visit my grandparents every summer and almost always end up spending some time at Saylor's Lake.

Somebody had the good sense to restyle the fender flares on this concept. This looks so much better than what is on the production models.

    Must haves to purchase…

My knowledge of modern Wranglers (JK and JL) isn't the best, but I'm pretty sure the MOAB does not have a front locker. So unless I'm wrong (absolutely possible) or you've added one, the Scout with no locker would behave the same in 4wd as your Jeep does.
  16. S

    Must haves to purchase…

That depends on which model Wrangler you have and whether you are engaging lockers while driving in the snow vs only putting it in 4wd.

    Must haves to purchase…

I have a Traveler Harvester reserved and it will be replacing a 2016 Grand Cherokee. Ultimately, both Scouts are larger than I'd like, but size isn't a deal breaker as I went in to my reservation knowing how big they are. I'd move on because of the following: - Less than 6k towing and I'll...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

That's a great feature. I had a 99 Explorer until I bought my Wrangler in 06. It had the keypad at the driver's door handle. I never understood why more manufacturers don't offer something similar. The recent discussion here about the locking storage in the spare tire of the Grenadier led to...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

When I go surfing with either or my modern vehicles, I can't leave my keys behind. If I put them anywhere on the exterior, the damn car senses the keys and will unlock the doors when you pull the door handle. I'd love a spot on the exterior (or interior with a keypad like Ford) where I could...

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

I've been struggling with the decision of what to replace my 2016 Jeep GC with, as I do not "love" any current SUVs. If I like an exterior, the interior is awful. If the interior is passable, the exterior is just ugly. I always loved the old Scouts, but didn't start paying attention to the...
