  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

From my understanding with Amazon atleast, since I was a driver, the “rentals”, used buy their delivery partners, rarely go back but instead move to different locations until they hit a service milestone and then they get retired and sent to auction. As many “rentals” have been equipped with a...

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

a better question might be, how many people expect to follow through on their reservations. Were all obviously here with the intention of following through, but some people might just be holding a place for the off chance or might cancel for another vehicle like an R2. I know my friend had a...

Any and everything is liable to change with the concept model models they could be centerfold they could be in the door. They’re just not implemented within these current concept models. It’s also possible they’re mounted on the floor and slid underneath the center of the rear seats so that way...

I hope if they add cupholders to the doors that the (water level) straps remain, however, door based cupholders I’ve always found to be a nightmare with passengers, either forgetting their drinks or increasing the likelihood of a spill.

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

If they were to delay BEV it wouldn’t be for that substantial of a time. If we consider that a decent amount of reservations will fall through and not become orders, and that there will be an attempt to meet most if not all reservations turned orders within the first year or two. To...

Just this thing is pretty expensive from Chevrolet. Though when I speced a lightning before they had an option for some sort of zone or camp lighting that added more lights for a practical use

Something like a compass rose with the center cut out for the Scout “S” then it wouldn’t need to show actual cardinal directions, but if a working compass having the “S” in the place so south would also work, but I image a working compass puddle light would cost a pretty penny

It looks intended to be a hook to me, maybe it can be pressed flush when not wanted, or just a placeholder for the concepts, I also feel like the red marked "insert" on the side of the head rest would be for adjustment, since from that angle it looks like a button

Rivian has something similar, it's a hook, by the look of it, and has a USB-C port

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

I'll add, this is the first year I've done a lot of miles in my own car in some time, and the first time in a BEV of my own. I started in the fall with my car averaging 5.0 efficiency (240~ miles from 80%). 3 weeks ago, we had our first cold snap from the 60s down to the 30s, and my efficiency...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Not a 1:1, but when I drove the EDVs for Amazon in the winter months, I would run the heater for the first half of the day, and if I got to 50% by lunch, I would lower the fans and max the seat and wheel heat. Those van had a 100% range around 150 miles, and the lowest SOC I ever returned with...

240 also isn't a lot, my car MSRP "Bolt EV started around $31,995, while the larger Bolt EUV began at $33,995" I have the EUV with an EPA Range of 247, now with how I drive it, I can get 240~ from 80% but this is an older EV. The new generation of the Bolt is set to return, starting at $28,595...

The infotainment is BYO with an app, for everything being stripped out, the range should be better at the price point. For the Price, you can get a used EV with better range and features. The Chevrolet (Ultium) Bolt is projected to start at $28K

For the 20K Range I would expect more than an A/C and 150 miles on a full charge

Slate claims to have a 5 ft bed, but on the high end, they project to offer 240 range in a 2WD "truck," and unless you want to pay more, you have to bring your own speakers, and infotainment is handled by your own device you chose to pair with the vehicle. Looking at all the "options" they...

What market is slate even for, it’s small and practically no range for the American market, and the ridiculous “bring your own” system makes 20k seem like it’s still to much for what you you have to already own

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

The few uses for the bench seat don’t outweigh the usefulness of the console. You can have a 6th seat, let your S.O. or you pet sit right next to you, you can slide over to use the table, you can also use it as a divide if you have your dog in the back seat so they can’t stand on the console...

The tray also is designed to hold a tablet. I love this idea as I once sat in the back of my F-150 and used the massive center console, with my iPad at the far end and a tiny keyboard on the back and edited an entire video while my partner was in the dentist and haven’t been able to work in any...

I feel like it’s a little too early to judge based on the concept of vehicle vehicles, but in my old 2012 Chrysler, there was no indication for auto up down windows in the front but they were installed in the vehicle. My current car, a 2022 bolt EUV has an a on the front window rockers because...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

From what they’ve shown of the demo interface, you set a SOC that you want the harvester to kick on at, I would imagine from there it would try to replenish or maintain SOC for the remainder of the drive
