  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    A Gift From Scout Motors

But only for Harvester Reservations because they are the only model that has a gas tank.

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

This kind of trip on pure EV gives me anxiety. So many open/rural places that would stress me out. I look forward to seeing how it goes for you, but I couldn’t do it.

    Plug in hybrid.

So this brings up a long debated question about the Harvester. Scout has claimed 500 miles of range, which is fantastic. A few unanswered questions have come up: - Is the Harvester a Gas and Go vehicle? What I mean is say the trip for the day is 600 miles, are we going to have to stop and charge...

    What was your first car?

It was way more stable than some of the stories (ask 15 year old me how I know). It also wasn’t very fast (top speed under 90mph). But man it was fun. I think that’s why I’m excited about the Traveler. It kind of reminds me of my first vehicle (just a whole lot nicer). I miss having a a little...

    What was your first car?

I had a 1991 Suzuki Sidekick (similar to this, can’t find any actual pictures at the moment). I think it had 95hp and a 9 gallon gas tank. It was lots of fun!

    A Gift From Scout Motors

I hear it’s those with a Harvester reservation are bumped to the front of the reservation list and will get a VIP tour of the plant and a museum delivery of their new Scout before the BEV’s are ever built…

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Well we all know the Harvester is coming out first (the interweb says so and it’s never wrong), so y’all keep changing to BEV orders. That just means I get my Traveler Harvester sooner!

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

100% Spot On. The EREV will be a fantastic fit for somebody like me who is looking forward to the day to day EV lifestyle, but still has the freedom for longer trips to avoid any kind of range anxiety.

59 Months (and counting) of EV driving...

The one place Ice vehicles don’t lose range is when sitting outside when it’s cold. If I have 3/4 tank of gas at 10pm when I walk away from the truck, I have that same amount the next morning. At 10F what will I have the next morning in the EV?

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I like the UConnect 4 in my TRX. The UConnect5 (which I think was for 2023 models) has had its share of glitches. At 6’8” I like the idea of a full size truck because I’m more comfortable. I’ve spent a few days this year in my brothers Colorado while hunting, and the seat bottoms just aren’t...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I’m starting to think if Ram can get it’s Poop in a Group, the Ram Rev may be the better truck for those that want an EREV that tows. https://www.ramtrucks.com/electric/1500-rev.html

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I’ve been fairly vocal about my usage from the start, so I’m sure nobody will be shocked to see I’m riding the Harvester Band Wagon!

    Initial Production Release

And I thought 16 weeks was a long time! :ROFLMAO: When you run the vin on my truck, it’s the only TRX made to my specs for 2021 - 2024 when they discontinued the TRX. That makes it 1 of almost 55,000 trucks made.

    Harvester towing

The 5,000lb tow limit on the Traveler is fine. I’m guessing most don’t buy their SUV to tow. For the Terra that’s where the 5,000lb is a problem. Trucks have to do truck things. A tow limit of 5,000lbs is not doing truck things.

The TRX is 88 inches wide. It’s a fat bastard!
