  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I definitely will! And it's not too bad... replaced all the brakes, tires, pressure sensors, and something else that was broken that needed to be fixed to pass inspection o_O

Just had to put 3k into my car is making me think about that R2 reservation ;)

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Expecting Scout, who despite the nostalgia factor for many of us is a new player in the market, to be the ones to push a "price reset" and drive costs down, is pure fantasy. I'd hate to see a target pricepoint of ~40k and when the lines are finally up and running have to go through the awful PR...

    Jeep Recon

Nor should they. If the whole "we're gonna put this through the ringer" schtick was their thing, I get it... if Jeep had sent them a vehicle to test and kick around. This was something for the general public to see and get hyped about. Imagine being excited to check out this car and seeing its...

    Jeep Recon

Going to an auto show and ripping apart a show vehicle for likes and reactions. A great insight into the hellscape that social media has become.

Aside from busses, I can't think of a segment that would benefit more from electrification than last mile delivery. Great to see more people getting into that space.

How did you find out about the new Scouts?

Every day on the way to school growing up I would pass a house that had a bright red 1970 800a in the driveway. I thought it was the coolest car ever and planned to buy it when they put a for sale sign up on it (this never happened). I've kept that tucked away in my mind that one day when I'm...

What are you driving until release?

I am currently driving a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with ~90k miles on it. No car payment, out of warranty. Every visit for maintenance has me thinking "is this going to be the one where I'm going to have to say goodbye?" Really hoping that I can balance the maintenance costs and drivability until I...

    Service Center

Every day I drive past this little historic building attached to a pre-owned/service center shop (with a tiny coffee shop inside!) It's changed ownership probably 3 or 4 times in the past 10 years. Minutes from the turnpike and other major highways and other car dealerships. I always picture it...

I'm with you 100%. I think it looks really cool for what it is, but it's not for me at all!

I hope the backpack can be a cooler. It would probably sit in the garage most of the time but it would be cool! (haha)

Clearly in the minority here but I love the Crater. I'd never buy it but its really cool lol.

I'm not sure I really agree with this. To us sickos who are here on the forums consuming Scout content every day- Sure yeah, totally different. But to the average joe who doesn't keep up with this stuff? They may be more likely to jump on a Jeep based on name recognition alone (the same goes...

    VW/Audi lease program while waiting?

I'd jump on this in a heartbeat. I'm closing in on the point of my current vehicle's life to where any bigger repair is a question of "is it time to say goodbye?" so a lease would definitely bridge the gap if needed, especially if it was structured to trade in when I take delivery.
